This is a pathetic situation in our education system . I too worked in some international schools. Whatever the syllabus they do, the main focus is the exam and their profit therefore teachers are very stressed and students too. It's obvious , everything has a cost. However, my view is everyone has to get fair service what they pay for. Thank you for raising your voice regarding this matter .

This is very direct and I agree with all your statements. As someone who studied in a national school (that is totally dependent on money) and once being a teacher of a somewhat known "international school" owned and governed by a publishing company (that treated teachers unfairly), I can understand why as a parent you decided to pour out your thoughts regards to "meddling of kids' education" and "sponging off" from parents who work their fingers to the bone. I'd also like to let people know that there is also a certain extent of pressure from "exam bodies" in the Asian region as that's a different scale of marketing in the education world.

A very accurate description of current situation. The purpose of this endeavour of parents is to send the children to an English speaking country. But those countries are going through a change as they are being controlled by wealthy Arabic countries. The example is what's happening in the UK and US as you speak. Think of sending your children to those countries if you want to destroy their future. No condition is permanent; that's the reality.

I totally agree with you. These so called Intl' schools need monitoring. Private schools exist all over the world, but there is a monitoring system by the authorities. There are large chains of schools merely functioning for the sake of money. Most of the teachers are under qualified or no professional development.

😢After introducing sinhala only official language law the changes that took place in Sri Lankan political arena was immense. Sinhala Community was able to educate their children in almost all fields and filled the gap that exited as a over due to them. This was truly followed with changes brought since 1972.in the field of education. To tell the truth the modes operandi of university selection paved the way for this. On the basis of population and community basis the system of University admission was able to cover in providing opportunities to students from remote areas too. To day we enjoy it's benifits. It is an undinable fact that this had its both good and bad results in all political social and economical fields. After the advent of open economy in our country things have changed. To day we face a new generation challenges. What you try to tell us is the after effects of the chellenges that we under go. Can we say adjustment to environment is the only way. Love to you. 18:37

During my school days we only had to sit for the entrance exam and if you pass you are admitted No donations Very reasonable fees After my education I became a teacher I did so many afternoon classes without charging a single cent But now most of the teachers instead of teaching in the classes they ask the students to participate in their private classes and charge unreasonable amount of money and they are paving their life to hell

This is for the people who just post comments, don't blame all the international schools , there are few who still maintain very good education as well as discipline. They teach the children sinhala language ( same government book) and every child learn their religion, it's a compulsory that every child should go to damma schools, they identify the childrens' talents and motivate them and facilitate them to improve their talents. මගේ දුව මාස 6 ජාත්‍යන්තර පාසැලක ඉගැන්නුවා .පඩිය 25000 එයා ඩිග්‍රි තියෙන ළමයෙක් ඉතින් ඔය ගාණට කවුද වැඩ කරන්නෙ මාස 6 න් නතරවුනා.එයා ඒ අත්දැකීම නිසා කියපු දේ තමයි ඉන්ටර්නැෂනල් පාසැල් වල ඉගෙනගන්න ළමයින්ට රජයේ පාසැල් ළමයින්ට තරම් දැනුමක් ලැබෙන්නේ නැ කියන එක එයාලා පව් අම්මෙ දු කීවෙ එහෙම .ඇත්තටම ඒක බිස්නස් එකක් තමයි.රජයේ පාසැලක ඉගෙනගෙන තමා අපේ දරුවො ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් ඉගැන්නුවෙ .ඉතින් ඉංග්‍රීසි භාශාව උගන්වන එක මුල් කරගෙන ඉන්ටර්නැෂනල් ස්කූල් වලට දාන්න එපා.රජයේ පාසැල් ගොඩක් වටිනව.

ඔව් මේ ඔක්කොම ඇත්ත.ලාභම විතරයි හොයන්නේ.මේක බිස්නස් එකක් විතරයි..මේක මගේ පුද්ගලික experience එකක්.මගෙ පුතා ගියේ ගාල්ලේ ලීඩ්ස්.සාමාන්‍ය පෙල ලියන්න සියලුදේ ලෑස්ති.නමුත් අවසානයේ දවස් කිපයක් තියල කිව්ව විභාගේ ලියන්න කොලභ යන්න කියල.හැමදාම විභාගේ ට කොලභ යන්නේ කොහිමද එක පාරට.විදුහල්පතිට කතා කලාම කිව්ව කරන්න දෙයක් නැ .කිසිම විදියකින් කරන්න දෙයක් නැ කියල.නමුත් සියලුදෙමාපියන් එකතු වෙලා director board තමයි මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් මොනාහරි කරන්න පුලුවන් කියල.අපි එයාට කතාකරාම අවසන් මොහොතේ අපි ලියුම් ගහල emailකරල ලොකු වැඩක් කරල තමයි අවසානේ මාතර ලීඩ්ස් එකට ලමයි යොමුකරන්න පුලුවන් උනේ.මේක මුලින්ම නොකරෙ ඇයි ඒතරම් බොලද ද.ලමයි විභාගෙට යනව කියන එක උන්ට සෙල්ලමක්ද. අමතරපංති වලට 40000ක් විතර යනව වාරිකය 86000ක් .ඒ උනාට හරියට ටොයිලට් නැ.විභාග ශාලා නෑ ඒවයී fan නැ.හරියට පිට්ටනියක් නෑ.ඒ උනාට ගන්න සල්ලි වලට වෙන දෙයක් නැ..හුගාක් දේවල් තියනව මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් කතාකරන්න.

ඒ විතරක් නෙවෙ අවසානයේ දෙමාපියන් ගේ වියදමින් විභාග ශාලා වට fan දාන්න කිව්ව මාතර ඕනිනම්..ඒ අවට දෙමාපියන් ඒපාර fan ගෙදර පාචිචි කරන ඒව ගෙනාව..ඒවගෙ හුගාක් දේවල් තියනව ඔය සම්බන්ධයෙන් කතාකරන්න .මේ සේරම කෙනෙහෙලිකම් කරල හොද result එකක් දැම්මාම ඒක නම් ඉස්කෝලේ ඉස්සර එල්ල ගන්නව.මරාගන්නේ නැති එක විතරයි ඒ ඉස්කෝල වල දෙමාපියන් හා ගුරුවරුන් ..
