Yes, you are right. It is correct when you don’t have the boarding pass for your connecting flight then you go to international transfer desk to get your boarding pass for your onward flight but you can ask for your connecting flight boarding pass at the ticket counter of your airline when you begin your journey. First of all thank you for watching my video. To answer your question I must tell you that you don’t have to worry about anything. When check in at Lagos airport the check in counter person will give you your boarding pass and your luggage tag. Make sure that you have your boarding pass from Istanbul to Sofia as well. If they don’t give you the onward flight boarding pass ask for it and also ask them that they checked you in for the onward flight as well. In case you you forget to check check your onward flight boarding pass don’t worry just go to the transfer desk at Istanbul airport and get your boarding pass for the flight to Sofia. If you don’t have your onward boarding pass they won’t let you go through the international transfer so make sure you have your boarding pass for the next flight. I am sure you will be just fine. There is no other route. Everyone has to go through the security checkpoint to get to their second flight for international transfer. It is very simple procedure. The answer of your question is No. You don’t have enough time for your next flight because when the plane lands it can take up to 10 to 15 minutes to come to the gates and then it can take another 10 minutes to disembark from the plane. Once you get oot of the plane it can take another ten minutes walk to the international transfer security checkpoint and then if they are busy these security procedures can take another ten to fifteen minutes to complete. From there you have to walk to your next flight gate and you don’t how far that gate will be. So in my humble opinion you don’t have enough time for your next. If possible get to an early flight to Istanbul if possible because they have only one flight a day for Lahore. I hope that helps you understand the process. I think you are asking me about the short international connections, right?. If you are, it means if you have short time to make your connections just follow the sign for the international transfers. For local transfers you have to go through the immigration and customs first and then recheck your luggage which mean you have to go upstairs and then you have to check in again at the airline counters and then go through the security check again which takes a while so if you have a short domestic connection like hour and half then it will be very difficult to make your flight. The answer of your question is no. You don’t have to have a transit visa as long as you are traveling on the same airline and you don’t have a connecting flight with another airline. Even if you have a connecting flight with airline but both of those flights are on the same ticket coupon then you are okay. Make sure when you check in at Dubai airport tell your Pegasus airline employee to give you the boarding pass for your onward flight. Then you don’t have to worry about getting your connecting flight boarding pass from the transfer desk at Sabiha Gokcen airport. I hope this helps you. Thank you for watching my video. Hi , That was a very helpful video. I am sure will help many people using the self transfer hack for cheaper fares. I plan same route with a self transfer of two hours only at SAW ( i am not sure if this video shows istanbul airport or sabiha gokcen). Being self transfer we will have to check in separately at sabiha for our onwards flight yo madine. I am british and travelling without checked luggage. Do I need to get a visa for self transfer after landing. I am worried about long queues and possiblity of missing my madina flight or my london to saw being delayed and being left stranded at saw. Since i booked two separate tickets. i would not be eligible to being adjusted on another flight probably. 😊

To answer your question two hours time in my opinion is enough time as long as you are flying single airline and your flight form london to SAW is not delayed. If you have bought two separate tickets with two different airlines than you have to go through immigration and recheck your self with the other airlines and then go through the immigration and customs and security procedures. In that case your two hours layover is not enough. Because you have to go through the immigration process even though you have no checked baggage immigration process can be long. So to make the process easier I think your your two hours would be cutting it very close. About my video it was about Istanbul main airport. As for you are British then you don’t need a visa as you are eligible for visa on arrival. I hope this helps you understand the process little better. If you are not going outside then no you don’t have to pick up your luggage. Just follow the signs for international transfer go through the security check again and go to the departure lounge and wait for your gaye to be be announced. @@mohammadibrahim6778 since you two separate tickets with two different airlines you won’t be able to get the second boarding pass for you second flight from the transfer desk of Turkish Airlines but there are many offices of different airlines handling agencies right next to the Turkish airlines transfer desk which handles different airlines. Even if you are not and if you are holding just one ticket with this itinerary, when you check in at Jeddah airport just ask the agent at the ticket counter to make sure your bags are tagged all the way to London. Also, ask for your boarding passes for your connecting flights as well. Second scenario is if you are flying two different airlines and are holding two separate tickets then you have to collect your luggage at Sabiha Gockcen airport and use the visa on arrival facility at the airport and then recheck yourself with the second airline at their ticket counter and recheck your baggage with them. @@iamuzairashfaq to be honest with you to that is not enough time to go through the international transfer security check and then go the departure gate. Remember the time that shpws is from the time the plane lands not when it arrives at the gate. It can take up to a good 30 minutes to gate to the gate and disembark from the plane and then you have to walk to the international transfer security checkpoint go through the security and then go the next gate. So in my opinion you should have at least two hours of time feim the time you land and to your next flight. I hope this helps you understand the process little bit better. If you have a separate ticket with Turkish Airlines then you can go to the Turkish Airlines transfer desk at Istanbul airport and get your boarding pass for the next flight but in my humble opinion just try to get the onward flight boarding pass at your first departure point ask the Turkish Airlines counter officer if they can issue you the boarding pass for your separate flight to Georgia? If they do it then this will be much easier for you. If not, then when you arrive in Istanbul airport just follow the sign for the transfer or connection once you arrive in the departure gate area there are many Turkish Airlines help points where you can get the boarding pass for your flight to Georgia. This only works if you have no checked baggage and just a carryon bag. If you have checked baggage then you have to go outside to collect your luggage and for that you need an evisa on your Phillipines passport. But if you are traveling with another airline from Istanbul to Georgia then you do have to go outside to check yourself in for your next flight to Georgia and for that you have to follow the abpve procedures where you have to have an evisa which you can get in five minutes online and then go outside and recheck yourself for your flight to Georgia. @@azkmn7 in my opinion it will be tight connection because when they say it is 1 hr 20 minutes connection it means from the time the plane lands in Istanbul. Remember your flight from your original city can be delayed for any reason that will make things almost impossible for you. Also in my experience when you land in Istanbul it can take up to 20 minutes from the time you land to the gate and then another 5 to ten minutes for gate bridge to connect and disembarkation process and add another five to 10 minutes to the international transfer area and then you have to go through the international transfer security checkpoint this process can take 15 to twenty minutes as well after that you have to walk to the departure lounge and find your next flight gate. If you are lucky the departure gate will be near that means another 5 minutes walk if you not lucky the departure gate for your connecting flight can be 10 to 15 minutes of walking. If you add all this time it will be more than 1 hour so that will make your connection time very tight. In my opinion ask your travel agent to give you another flight with little more time for you to make your connecting flight. I hope this helps you understand how things work at Istanbul Airport. The Turkish airlines Airport staff at Chicago O’Hare should give onward boarding pass for Istanbul to Bangkok flight and same for the return flight from Istanbul to Chicago boarding pass should be given to you by the Turkish airlines staff at Bangkok airport for the return flight. The answer of your question is that since you have two separate tickets with two different airlines you have to go outside in the arrival lounge and recheck yourself with British Airways to your final destination to Dominica. In order to do that you have to go through immigration and customs process and for that you need to have a visa. If you are carrying a British passport or Any EU passports or US or Canadian passport then you can have a visa on arrival at Istanbul airport. In my I have shown where the visa booth is located at Istanbul airport, which is right next to immigration counters. To answer your question, the process from the arrival to the to the departure lounge and to your departure gate totally depends upon how busy the international transfer security checkpoint is. It can take up to an hour or sometimes less then an hour. If your connection is more then two hours and your flight arrives on time then you should be able to catch your next flight. To answer your question I want to know do you have two different airlines tickets one is to Istanbul and the other one from Istanbul to your final destination or two different airlines on one ticket? If you have two different airlines with two separate tickets then you have to go through immigration and customs colect your luggageand go outside to the departure lounge and recheck yourself with the second airline and then go through the security and immigration and then go to your your second airlines departure gate and take your flight. But if you have one ticket with two separate airlines on them then you should ask your ticket counter person at your local airport to give you the boarding pass for your onward flight from Istanbul to your final destination if he says that you can get it in Istanbul then you should tell him no I want the onward boarding pass if he gives you one then you make sure it is for your onward flight and then when you arrive in Istanbul you can go to the international transfer desk which is just in from of international transfer security checkpoint and make sure that this is the right boarding pass. After that you just have to go to the through the international transfer passenger security checkpoint and then it will lead you to the international departure lounge where you can find out your second airlines gate and just go to your flight gate and wait for your flight to depart. Yes. If you are traveling only on Turkish airlines and you have only one ticket with transfer to Berlin then you will receive your luggage in Berlin. You don’t have to worry about the hand carry just take with you in the plane and when you areive in Istanbul just follow the sign for International transfer and go through the security check again. Olease make sure that you have your onward boarding pass from Istanbul to Berlin otherwise the security check gates will not open for you. After going through the international transfer security just go to the departure lounge and follow the screens for your flight to Berlin. First of all thank you for watching my video. To answer your question about going outside of Istanbul airport in my humble opinion for you it is not possible because you you don’t have enough time to go outside even though you don’t need a visa because as an American you can get the visa free entry in Turkey now. Bit since your layover at Istanbul airport is only five hours and just to go though the immigration at the airport can take up to an hour easily and then you have a forty minute drive to Istanbul city center and another hour back from the city. Once you arrive back at the airport for your departure you have to go through two separate security checkpoints and the passport control as well which can take another hour or so. This whole process can take up to three hours so I think it is not very wise to go outside and risk missing your flight to Pakistan. However you can ask the Turkish airline office staff in Pakistan to give you enough time for lay over in Istanbul for you connecting flight back to USA. I hope this helps you understand the process. Thank you for watching my video. To answer your question, yes you have to collect your luggage and then give it back to the Turkish airlines counter agent at the departure lounge. In order to that you have to through the immigration and customs for that you have to have the Turkish visa to go through immigration and customs. Since you have a 20 hours layover in Istanbul I hope you have applied for the Turkish e-visa online which is pretty quick and easy. I am wondering why do have two different PNR? Do you have two separate tickets on Turkish airlines. I know you have one economy class from India and Business class from Istanbul to USA. I hope that helps you understand the process. To answer your question, you have to go through first international transfer security check that is the main security check where they check your boarding pass and your luggage has to go through the screening. Once you are finished with security check then you go to the departure lounge where you can look for your flight and the gate information. Usually the gate information doesn’t come on until 2 hours before departure time. For India all you have to go to the gate and wait for your flight at the gate and once the flight is announced you get in line with your boarding pass and passport. The airline counter staff will scan your boarding pass and your passport and then you can go inside gate bridge which will attach to your plane. That’s the process for going to India. But on your way back to the United States you have to go through two security checks. First one is the same international transfer security checkpoint and then once you arrive at the gate the security personnel will ask you few questions and then your hand luggage will be checked and that is the process for coming back. @ yeah security screening at the gate is pretty smooth. Rhe security personnel will ask you few questions and then they will check passport and ask you to follow the line for the bag check. One security person will check your bag and will ask you if you are carrying items from anyone and then will swipe a paper through your bag and other items put through the screen machine for any explosive and that it. Remember this is for your flight coming back to the United States not for traveling to India. Regarding Turkish airlines crew they are very attentive as far as I know they are always trying to make your travel experience easier. Are you traveling within Turkey or your final destination is outside Turkey? If you are traveling within Turkey you have to go through the customs and immigration process and once you’re done you will give your luggage back to the Pegasus airline staff to recheck your luggage to your destination. But if you are traveling outside Turkey you don’t need to do anything. Since you have a UK and Schengen visa and you have traveled on it then you don’t need a Turkish visa. If both the airlines are on one tickets then you you don't have to go through the immigration and customs or pick up your luggage and recheck in Istanbul airport. Just make sure to get your onward boarding pass from Istanbul to Sochi at Jakarta airport. But if you have two separate tickets for each airlines then you have to go through immigration and customs at Istanbul airport and then recheck your luggage at Istanbul airport. I am sorry for the late reply as I was traveling in Europe and Asia. To answer your question, You don't need a transit visa for Turkey for either part of your journey. Even if you want to go outside and if you are holding a British passport you can get a visa on arrival at Istanbul airport for a small nominal fee which is valid for six months for multiple entries. Just make sure that when you arrive at Dehli airport ask the agent at the desk to give you the boarding pass for your onward journey as well. To answer your question, let me say that once you go to the airline counter in India to check in for your flight ask the person at the Indigo airline counter to also give you the boarding passes from Istanbul to Toronto. Usually all the airlines have code share agreement. What Indigo employee will do is that they will tag your bag all the way to Toronto. You don't have to re-check in at Istanbul airport. But, please make sure that before you leave the Indigo ticket at Mumbai airport you also have the boarding passes from Istanbul to Toronto. The boarding passes would say Indigo on it but if you look closely it will have Turkish Airlines flight number. Indigo has code share Turkish Airlines. Once you go through the security check at Istanbul for transfer flight to Toronto go to the gate of the flight and show your boarding pass to the gate agent at Istanbul airport. He/she will check your documents and will give you a Turkish Airlines boarding pass. I hope this helps you understand the process. Enjoy your travels. Yes. To go outside the Istanbul airport and check out the area around airport or go to the city for few hours you do meed a visa. In my opinion, I think seven hours layover is not enough time to go outside and come back as it will take you a good hour to go through the immigration process and then go outside and come back and go through two separate security checks and then another security check for the US flight. If you have a European union passport or a US or Canadian passport then you don’t need a visa to go outside. If you have two separate tickets from two different airlines rhen you do have to go through immigration and customs and then recheck your bags for your flight to Abudhabi for that you do have to go outside and for that you need a visa you can get the visa on arrival at the airport as long as you have the passport of the countries which Turkish government has allowed to get the visa on arrival. But, if you have one ticket with two separate airlines on it then all you have to do is to go through the international transfer security checkpoints and go to the departure lounge. If you have that long of a stay your airline should provide you with the transit visa and the hotel. If you were traveling with Turkish airlines only then they offer you free visa and hotel. You can still call indigo airlines to see if they offer you the visa service otherwise you can get a transit visa on arrival. What passport are you using? I hope this helps you. To answer your question, if your next flight is outside the Turkey then you don’t have to go through the immigration. All you have to do is to go through the international transfer process and go through the security checks one more time and then you will be in the transit area of the airport. But, if you want to go outside since you have a 8 hours layover in Istanbul then you don’t need a visa if you are carrying an American passport. Just follow the signs for passport control and the immigration officer will put and stamp on your passport and also they will take your picture as well. That’s it. To answer your question, unfortunately the answer is no, unless there are many passengers on your flight from Mumbai to Istanbul are also going to Vancouver. If that is the case then the airline will hold the plane if the first flight is arrving 10 or 15 minutes late from Mumbai, if the flight the more than one hour late than they will not wait for the flight and the flight for Vancouver will leave. The airline will then rebook you for the next flight to Vancouver or send you through Toronto or Montreal if possible for that you have to go to the international transfer desk to get your self rebook. If there no option available for that day Turkish airlines will provide you a hotel room and will rebook you on the next flight to Vancouver for the next day. The answer for your question is rhat , airport security official check your boarding pass before you can enter the security checkpoint. If your boarding pass is valid the gate will open when you scan your boarding pass. After that you have to wait for your carry bags to go through the scanner and you have to take off the belt and metal jewelry to go through the metal detector. Because of this the security process can take a long time if your flight arrive at a busy time. I hope this helps you understand the process. Are you going somewhere else from Istanbul or your final destination is Istanbul? From your question I think you have a layover in Istanbul and that makes me feel that you are going somewhere else from Istanbul. If you are going somewhere in Turkey then you di have to pick your luggage and go through the immigration and customs and then drop your luggage again to the next airline counter. If that is the case then you need to have a evisa. If you are going somewhere other then Turkey then you don’t need to go through the customs and immigration just follow the signs for international transfer and go through the security check again. @@monu8911 if you have the boarding pass for all the way to India then you don’t need an evisa just use the international tranfer and go through the security checkpoints and to your flight to India gate. Just make sure that you ask the person at the airport ticket counter to issue you the boarding passes to all the way to India. I hope you understand what I mean.

No you don’t need to a have transit visa for you layover. Just wondering are flying the same airline to Milan or you have two different airlines with two different tickets or one ticket with two different airlines. How long is your layover in Istanbul? When you arrive in Istanbul just follow the signs for international transfer and go through the security check and then you will again arrive in the departure lounge of the airport. Make sure you ask your ticket agent in the United States to give you the onward boarding pass from Istanbul airport to Milan. I hope this helps you out. Then all you have to do is get the onward boarding pass at the time of the check in and when you arrive in Istanbul just follow the sign for the international transfer and go through the security check once more at the international transfer and once done with security check at the international transfer go to the departure lounge and watch the flight screens for your flight number and the gate assigned to your flight. No brother you don’t need a transit visa. Judt make sure that you get your onward boarding pass from your ticket agent in Bangkok. If they forget to give you the onward boarding pass just go to the transit desk of Turkish Airlines when you arrive in Istanbul. Transit deak is located just across from the international transfer security checkpoint in Istanbul airport. I hope that helps you. @@zarayousaf3065 I know. Pegasus flies to Karachi from Sabiha Gokcen airport. Like, I said before if you are not going outside then you don’t need a transit visa. I am assuming that either you have British visa or unlimited stay stamp on your passport. In any case you don’t need a transit visa.

Yes. It is possible to check online as long as you have a confirmed seat number from your origin. Also, when you check in at your local airport make sure they give you a second boarding pass for your onward journey if they do thrn you don’t have to stop at the transfer desk. All you have to do to watch the screens at the airport and when the flight is announced just go to that gate check in with gate agent. But I would highly recommend that you make sure that you have the onward boarding pass when you check in at your local airport counter. I hope this helps you understand the process. Yes, you have to go through International transfer and go through the security check again. To go through the security check you have to have your onward boarding pass for your Toronto flight. You can get a visa on arrival at Istanbul airport. Remember if you have to two separate tickets with two different airlines for two different segments then you do have to go outside to the departure lounge to get yourself checked in with Ethihad airlines. But if you have one ticket and have two airlines on it then you just have to go through the international security checkpoints and then go to the departure area and wait for your flight to be announced and rhen go to your your respective flight gate.
