Internet Carrot Cake / Boxed German Chocolate Cake

I’m going to be honest, I was not too impressed with this carrot cake recipe. My “southern” recipe called for crushed pineapple and other ingredients that took it above the mark. This recipe was easy but was not what I am used to. I may do another video if I can find my recipe. Thanks for understanding!!
To elevate a box cake mix:
Use milk instead of water
Use an extra egg
Use melted butter instead of oil
I also add vanilla

Rachel make what a mixture of flour, oil and shortening mix and use that to rub your pans so your cakes don't stick. It's equal measurements of each. I usually do 2 Tablespoons of each and store leftover in fridge. It's the best ever.

So I bought molasses to try to make brown sugar, and it fell on the driveway and broke....on Monday. What a mess. Thank you for showing this. I have molasses on my list again.

This carrot cake is looking amazing, it's my favorite cake........there are only 2 cakes I will eat.....carrot cake #1 & German Chocolate cake #2 (have to be feeling it to eat German chocolate). I'm more of a cobbler & pie kinda girl. Absolutely love carrot 🥕 cake though.
