Internet Loss On Home Automation Hubs

It's time to see how a loss of internet affects how both the Homey Pro and the Hubitat will respond. My speculation is Hubitat will be more local and Homey Pro will be more cloud based, based on the devices I can connect to each.

Great vid. I'm debating upgrading my Hubitat vs getting Homey Pro. Def prefer local only, after Wink died when they went under. Kind of disappointing that they both kind of require internet to fully work on both computer (which really is only used for setting up automations) and phone, which in our home is what Hubitat is actually controlled from.

Glad you enjoyed the video, they are both great hubs, and things I like that the other doesn't do. Currently I'm enjoying having them both, but if the local thing bothers you with hubitat the homey is much more network dependant.

Are you using the homey pro and hubitat to control the exact same device behind the tv or do you have two light strips? SImilar question: Can you have BOTH hubitat and homey pro in your house and just use the one hub or the other as needed based on device compatability? If the hope is to have voice assistant control I would assume google assistant could send interface with both hubs at the same time and just route the voice command to the app with the correct automation?

It's the same light strip connected to both. The example you gave would work, my objective would be to have the hubs talk which is where the difficulty is for me right now.
