I remember I saw Everything Yes in Boston right after I auditioned for Berklee. I traveled all the way from Bolivia to audition, and lucky me, the dates matched with the concert. That day was the best day of my life. Everything yes became my favorite jazz band, and Zack became my favorite drummer. Listening to them on spotify is nothing compared to watching them live. They are just out of this world, and they have inspired me to be a better musician. ❤️

Zack, my students are crazy about you. A lot of them introduced me to your channel in 2021, so I've also been subscribed to your channel since then. And honestly, I truly respect your passion, your unique talent and sense of humour. Since Rene Barthen did a clinic here in Port Elizabeth South Africa 🇿🇦 ( huge successful Drum clinic), I was approached by Dixon Drums SA and got my endorsement deal through them. But as you know, A LOT of work went into it. I can't wait to meet you in person hopefully soon. So that you can meet us South African drummers here in Port Elizabeth (Coastal city) with a lot of passionate drummers, hungry to learn and to experience your talent live.

I’m pretty sure he’s coming in October, Derrick 👌🏻 just not sure if PE. It would make sense though as the PE Dixon clinic had the biggest turn out apparently
@derrickbadenhorst73296 ай бұрын
@brettclurdrums I'm sure he will come to Port Elizabeth, because the support is BETTER here than in the larger cities. But that's because I am here 😂. All seriousness, I make sure that my students attend the drum clinics gets arranged. When we had Virgil Donati in Port Elizabeth, we also had the most supporting that clinic in South Africa. And I know Zack will have a great time at this little coastal town. 😊

Hey, Zach I just wanted to give a shoutout from N Georgia! I see you are from N Carolina. Anyway I am a 47-year-old drummer and have mostly played percussion since I was 18. I've been in and out of music and my consistency has been a bit rocky due to addiction that about took my life several times over the years. I have had several drumsets and had lost them all because of bad life choices and I've now overcome addiction from both heroin and fentanyl and picked up drumming again as well as hiking to keep my head occupied. Drumming has always been a passion of mine. I just wanted to say thank you because although you have no clue who I am; you, my friend have inspired me to get back to chopping! I'm also highly into jazz/ fusion style drumming but I practice a good bit of all types. I think your story is so awesome and how far you came in such a short time with all of your endorsements is quite amazing! Well anyway I hope I get to jam out with you someday brother! Keep on swingin’.. Donn

Zack, I have been drumming for about 6 years now. I have a band and do small gigs around town. You’re videos always bring me joy and inspire me to become a better drummer myself. You’re comedy is always so funny! Keep on making the amazing videos you make!

I would say I was a very “causal” jazz enjoyer, and mostly just straight, drummer-lead, big band jazz (Buddy Rich, mostly) because I’m a drummer, and didn’t really appreciate other musicians/instruments, like I do now, and should’ve then, but… Zack. Mr. Grooves. Pinny Skenis. You are what has gotten me into jazz fusion. Everything Yes is my go-to instrumental music now, period. And I thank you for that and want to kiss you and your dad. Muah.

Does anyone know how Greg did both jazz drums and music education at the same time in college? Cause I heard that music education majors are focused on classical music and not jazz, so it's usually classical percussion and not much drumset in a music education route from my knowledge? Someone tell me if im wrong. I want to major in jazz drums but with a music education degree, I'm curious on how Greg did it, or if he did classical percussion.

Zack... Aspire to create something new. Something original. You're not going to break through without something unique. You and your brother are great musicians but that doesn't mean anything without some kind of different sound. Experiment, get weird, get crazy. Become yourselves. Innovate.

I'm sorry to be rude but man troll faces have been out of date for so long, just one of the very apparent instances showing that your humor is stuck in the past a bit. Kinda makes me sad cos that just means you're actually doing shit with your life and I'm stuck on the internet oh well
