If there is respiratory depression(hypoventilate), it will accompany by respiratory acidosis, not alkaloisis as mentioned..??? Respiratory alkalosis, could happen in hyperventilation status...??

I found it interesting. However, some issues need to be checked: increased CO2 causes a direct increase in H2CO3 not HCO3- directly as the CO2 interacts with H2O forming H2CO3 first, so, the equation written is not very understood. Thank you

And how come an increase in HCO3 will lead to a decrease in PH? any explanation please?

@@talahenn6151 if you mean in the case above, increased HCO3 is a mirror for increased hydrogen ions ( H2CO3 gives H+ HCO3). and you know increased H+ means a drop in pH. Any further increase in HCO3 is a compensatory mechanism ( by the kidney mainly) to lessen acidosis
