Well as a man of 67, I relate very well. In 1983 met a girl, she was 22, I was 27. She was African American and I'm Caucasian. I did not think it would work because of our race. Very qickely knew I loved her. In three years engaged and she called the wedding off. Heartache. She was a Jehovah Witness and wanted her husband to be one as well. That was the issue not love. She remains the best person I ever knew. Love you forever girl!

I know moving from SoCal to AZ had its major differences. As a black woman (single) I experienced blatant racism and verbal attacks in AZ when ever I visited there more so in the Chandler area. Has it been that for you there? My daughter has a Caucasian husband with 2 young sons but they are in New Mexico. My aunt was also married to her Caucasian husband for 35 years before he recently passed away but I never heard her ment;ion any challenges due to being interracial. Thanks for sharing.
