Just to add a few more things on the list of reasons its not simple for homeless people to "just get a job": -Not having access to a shower or hygiene products -Not having clean clothes or a big wardrobe -Added mental and physical illnesses that develop or are exacerbated by being homeless im SO sick of out of touch people thinking being homeless or poverty are a choice.

people also act like someone being homeless doesn't have, like... a complex series of reasons? it's not as if people end up homeless because of any one reason that totally screwed them over, and thus requires one solution like just getting a job. they're gonna need a LOT more than a job to get out of there, let alone people who literally CAN'T WORK? disabled people can't just get a job, that's kinda the problem

If you're not going to tip, don't go out. Don't order out. Period. I can't afford to tip 100% but I always tip a minimum. My baristas get like $3-5 depending on the order. My Thai order gets like $5-10 depending on the order. I went out for drinks and tipped a $20 the other day because the service was great and it was the only cash I had, but I didn't care.

I don’t think he was even saying that charities are often corrupt. I think he’s just so self-serving that he needs to see his donation or his effort have immediate effect. He wants to see someone be so grateful and happy so he can feel good about himself, it’s not enough that the money goes somewhere where he can’t see its benefits. In the US that would mean not going out to eat at any restaurant. It's not like only one company doesn't pay adequate wages, it's a whole system. Not to mention if everyone decided to stop going to restaurants what would happen to the workers? The cooks, servers, and other staff would just not get paid at all. I hate the tipping system, but I still go to restaurants (not often but like once a month) and like I said in the US every restaurant pays their employees a lesser serving wage from the Applebee's to the family restaurant. I can either only eat out fast food (news flash they don't get a living wage either) or not eat out at all ever. Hope this kinda explains why people still go to places where they need to tip because in the US it's every restaurant not just one or two corporations
