Absolutely agree Strategic- a 2 year old should not stay in a hotel room allday long! Go out, play, run around, engage w her, make her laugh and move and then she‘d be tired and happy for a while. Kids should spend a certain amount of time running around, else they are unruly, hyperactive (inside a room nonstop) and unhappy, trying to get the adult‘s attention all the time which is very normal at that age.

Exactly....this sweet girl was cooped up in a room, left with a young dude who could care less about her! Strategic, you are spot-on...Trinity needed some outside playtime or some activities to stimulate her mind....he didn't have sense enough to babysit a hampster and he was left with a beautiful, active child! Its infuriating that so many children are the victims of violence simply because they are behaving like children!!

I remember this when it happened. The kid just wanted to play his video games and not be bothered with the child. Heartbreaking that this baby lost her life. Babies having babies. He was not equipped to parent at all. At that age you have to teach her how to play and do activities. You can't just leave a child of that age to her own devices. She doesn't know what to do with herself, of course she acted up.

You gotta watch men tho they change their minds. Me and my man agreed I’d be a stay at home mom and raise our children while he worked outside the home. And he’s been butthurt ever since. He’ll get up out of the bed to get ready and say stuff like “well, *somebodys* gotta get up and go to work to pay for all the shit we need” as if I hadn’t been up all night rocking babies back to sleep and feeding and burping and changing clothes and diapers….like implying I’m lazy. And he was a wonderful man until after I had our second. You gotta make SURE he’s got a provider mindset.

It’s not always so cut and dry. That young mom likely couldn’t afford daycare. She was working to put a roof over her baby’s head and in a tough spot. There really needs to be more assistance available to mothers so that they don’t feel the need to rely on a boyfriend to watch their children while they work. I can understand that predicament because when my kids were young, I was in the same boat. Thankfully, my kids were never abused but I did have to rely on my youngest son’s dad to stay home with them while I worked. It was really tough!

For a while I hated these stories about child abuse that channels do for true crime… but I came to terms with it because you wouldn’t think this really happens otherwise. I have become frustrated with pets, but I learned empathy from my pets and I never hurt them so much as I was neglectful but I learned from that and I am glad I never got frustrated with a child.

@@David-kf2wx - I didn’t realize my cat got deaf, I wish I changed her water more often, changed the litter more often. That kind of stuff. I just got annoyed at my cat when life was stressful and ignored her to some degree. Nothing too extreme.

He says hes not trying to be like that, its her.....geeze!! This kid thought this would be easy. Keep her with snacks and a tablet and he could do his thing all day. WRONG! He had a rude awakening figuring out caring for a toddler is hard work! Because he isnt a family member, its not his kid, he has NO attachment at all, that makes it easy for him to mistreat Trinity working up to ending this babys life!! Can‘t imagine the pain… I feel for the mom, I don‘t think she was leaving her precious girl behind neglectably, she probably had little to no choice. Sometimes it’s that simple. So soo sad! I feel very sorry for her😢 It‘s easy to say to not leave your child w someone you don‘t know. Of course I agree, but not everyone has choices/money to choose the perfect daycare:(

Babies and toddlers are very hard for the average mom. The level of patience , love and understanding isn't going to be found with someone else. This man didn't care about the baby in anyway. Why would the mother leave the child with him. I'm sure they're were so many signs that something was wrong with him. But she ignored it and left the baby with him.

Just my thoughts: 1) from a civilian and judicial process they should have asked clarification on him requesting a lawyer. 2) USA could really use some family planning programs/ education.. people are Soo quick to have children and Soo many...
