The following is loosely adapted from a case summary written by the State Attorney's Office:
Mohammad Amar Aljamos owns the Royal Hookah Lounge in Orlando. Sean Jeffrey Brijmohan had been frequenting Aljamos’ business for approximately eight months and Aljamos knew Brijmohan to be a federal agent. Brijmohan always had his badge and firearm on him when in the business. Brijmohan had also shown-up other times wearing a tactical vest and carrying an assault rifle.
Brijmohan had also implied to Aljamos that he was involved with the Las Vegas shooting investigation, on one occasion even telling Aljamos that he was traveling to Las Vegas to speak with the President of the United States about the tragic event.
Aljamos advised he was very close to Brijmohan and treated him like a brother. Brijmohan introduced Aljamos to someone he identified as (a) his friend and (b) a fellow federal agent.
That guy's name?
Steven Negron.
Sound familiar?
No?
Try “Recycle.”
And then - as a "prank" - they robbed Aljamos. Good prank.
Rather than explain the [very, very twisty] story here, we are going to let the victim, the suspects, and the witnesses tell their own version of events.
Published to Patreon concurrently with Part One was a sworn interview of Jeremy Dewitte by Assistant State Attorney Richard Wallsh (yes, two "l"s) in relation to this case. That video will be publicly available for free this coming Friday.

It blows my mind these guys claim to be special investigators. They act like rookie detectives with something to prove. They shouldn’t had some Polk County Sheriff’s detectives on this. Or someone other than the the guy sitting closest to him and the 3rd one who came in. I’ve worked law enforcement, was young an inexperienced, and never did any questioning alone, but this is just embarrassing. Especially the Hail Mary the last guy attempted at the end and the suspect knew it.

I've dealt with cops & agents who were complete morons, had no sense. I had a incident, 1999 with a sworn PA game commission officer who was a mess. He tried to do "good cop, bad cop" by himself. He also took trash out of a 🗑 then blamed me for "evidence". He was a trained, sworn officer.

Tell you what, I bet he closes down and gets a confession 8 times out of 10. Watch him again with the volume muted from around 36:39. Watch his hands. He didn't learn interrogation techniques like that on any Police Force. For nearly half this clip here, there's only one real Cop in the room. The one who earlier claimed he was with the security services. I think the "suspect" is a covert operative from some other agency, caught up in some petty small town Cop bullshit. Detective Jazz Hands is certainly some kind of inter-departmental liason or intel co-ordination guy. From Langley. He's served in miltary intelligence. He puts that Cop on snooze mode, and goes all inter-agency swagboi on Mr "it was a fucking prank, Frank". I think it WAS a prank. Two agencies stepping on each other's toes, each one trying to get the other to break cover first, by pretending something's going on, and it isn't. Its a PRANK! As in "You got pranked".

I was a detective for 27 years! Never seen something so amateur. Instead of a confession they should have offered him a deal. Get out of jail for free and catch the 2 other morons who probably have longer sheets. Remember guys, these trials are paid for by tax dollars. They don’t want to spend too much time on $3000 especially when it was given back. The real crime here wasn’t extortion it was impersonating a LEO. Sean could have gotten probabation and the other 2 easily 3-5. The last detective really pushed to hard , Sean didn’t need a friend he needed a father figure. They obviously didn’t study him as well as they thought. For those of you wondering , all 3 men were acquitted as their was a lack of evidence.

The fact that he took it all the way to a jury trial makes me think that it really was a prank. And he did seem beleivable when he said that no one ever asked the guy for money. Without evidence of that, seems like it would be hard to make an extortion charge stick. Probably why he was aquitted.
@brigadierharsh1948
@brigadierharsh1948 3 жыл бұрын
There are probably some half truths throughout his story, but the idea that they planned to give him the money back is such a joke. They very well might have started out just messing with the guy, but when he took it seriously they either demanded or accepted the money he was giving them. They should have stopped whatever messing around they were doing at that point. The whole saying “it was just a prank bro” the day after, before they had even returned his money to him and after they found out he wrote a statement against them, is incredibly suspect and seems like an after the fact excuse for taking the money, even if the whole thing just started as messing with the guy and not a conspiracy.
