Every one speeds in the Springs and this video guy is passing all the speeders! Slow down dude! 90 is to fast!
@DonMarzzoni3 жыл бұрын
People driving under the speed limit are just as dangerous as well. If everyone stayed in the right lane it would be way safer. They need to change raise the speed limit if everyone is going above the speed limit. People who camp in the left lane causes accidents even though they feel like they are following the speed limit. Keep your ass in the right lane if you want to go the speed limit!

I remember going there in the early 60s as a little kid (Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods). Pike's Peak was scary to me - partially because of the road we drove up which wasn't in good shape (and no side rails on steep areas), but the view was fantastic. Garden of the Gods was everything you said - and more. Do they still have the "petrified Indian boy" (a fake) in the gift shop that I remember? When we went through there back then, we stayed at a campground below Pike's Peak somewhere - the campground was below a small dam, and there was a reservoir with a swimming area (VERY cold water) above it. I've tried to find that campground since then, but without luck. I also remember the dust devils - when I was a kid, I used to love them - run and jump into the center.

Pikes Peak is paved to the top! The big visitor building under kissing camel rock is gone. The camp ground with pond still exist’s in Cascade!

@@ontarget4076 I couldn't find it on Google Earth. In some cases I have almost a photographic memory. I can still 'see' the lake - long, but without any significant branches off to the sides (at least on the side we walked on, and the image in my mind doesn't have any). The swimming area was near the dam - off to one side (facing the lake - to the left). We camped below the dam - there was a bit of a dip between where we camped and the dam, which was relatively flat. I don't remember for sure, but I think we could see out over the valley and possibly to the flatlands to the east (that's more of an impression connected to the area). It was relatively close to Pike's Peak because we didn't have to drive that long (back in the early 60s) to get to the start of the road going up to the peak. I think it was in a glacial valley because of the shape of the valley and how the lake looked (shape). Size - based on the image I remember, the lake was probably almost a mile long, and maybe 1/8 to 1/4 of a mile wide. It couldn't be too deep (probably not more than 50 feet or so) because the image of the dam in my mind.
