I have to admit the first 35 seconds of the video made me feel a mix of awe and intimidation. This is gorgeous

It's one of those patterns that looks complicated but it's really so easy. Promise ♥️

This is the NEW thing that I have learnt today: PROVING YOU'RE NEVER TO OLD to learn something new. Excellent! The X looks like an H to me and I can see Os....HO! HO! HO! LOVE your colour changing blankie and that innovative drop dow treble (UK) drop down dc (USA) Great tutorial-I really enjoyed watching vid.

Just come across your channel/ tutorial and can I say…you’ve done a fantastic job at explaining exactly how and where to work the stitches. I think all those little details are what really help beginners and even people who’ve crocheted for years but may have only done basic crochet, to really understand a pattern. It’s nice to hear those details, lots of tutorials skip them. I’ve crocheted for about 7 years now and watched tonnes of KZbin tutorials and I think you’ve got a real talent for teaching crochet. Well done. I know someone said about the camera zooming in and out, but once you find your sweet spot with filming that’ll soon be sorted. 😊🧶👍🏼

Thank you so much Donna - that's a really nice comment and lovely to hear. I don't actually think I'm a natural at tutorials - I just chat away forgetting I'm meant to be teaching lol. I'll definitely sort out my auto-focus though - and perhaps keep the dog away from now on :) x

Great to hear a familiar accent again 🏴. Definitely listening to a nice accent influences my tutorial choice ;) excellent stuff.

OOPS missed 2nd O in TOO! GYHO you should do more vids. The more people hooking for England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales the better IMHO.

This pattern looks completely different than your thumbnail. Or am I just not seeing it? Do you have that pattern anywhere?
@GetYerHookOn3 жыл бұрын
I promise it's the same pattern. The link to the pattern on Ravelry is in the description. It's on Etsy too. Or find me on Instagram @getyerhookon as there's loads of pics of it on there ☺️

Is there a way of making this pattern by going back and forth on rows with 2 strands instead of constantly cutting yarn?
@GetYerHookOn3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jenny. I only ever do overlay mosaic crochet and haven't delved into the world of inset yet. I'm sure it's possible but not sure. Sorry x

I'm sorry but you really need to sort out the focus on your camera. Ever time you move your hand is trying to focus in on it and it's very distracting. Maybe turn auto focus off?

Personally, I can't tell where the stitches are going, how many are between rows, and you never said that the beginning line had to go back into itself. All together, I'm just unable to follow. Probably the way my brain works, as others have given great feedback, so I might just be missing something. I've followed other tutorials on mosaic and have been able to give those patterns a good shot. Possibly after your rows you could say "so it has two singles, one double, three singles, one double, four singles and one double" Idk I feel like that's the way I learn best. I don't want to be harsh, I just wanted to give some constructive criticism.

Hiya. This video is actually a complimentary aid to the pattern. So those with the pattern know how to get started and do some of the front post stitches. It's not really a full online tutorial as you can see I've only done a few rows. I probably should have explained that at the beginning of the video. I do appreciate your feedback though ☺️

You mention how you find it annoying when your husband tried to talk to you while you're counting stitches, then you spend the entire video talking while you're audience is trying to count stitches/ keep up with you.. extremely annoying
@GetYerHookOn3 жыл бұрын
This is an introduction video... Really only showing you how to do the special stitches. It's more for those who have bought the pattern. Apologies for annoying you ☺️
