I really liked this pattern! And your explanations are very clear 👍How can I adap it to make a round project , like a bag?
@joyofmotioncrochet Жыл бұрын
When working in rounds you end the round with a slip stitch in the first stitch. You don't have to cut the yarn, which makes it easier.

I just bought your pattern! 🇸🇪so nice to have a tutorial to watch! I’m a little worried because I wasn’t able to make a gauge swatch. I’m using really ‘sticky’ fluffy mohair type yarn,and I can’t undo it once it’s stitched, and I don’t have enough to sacrifice, so I did a wild move and changed my hook to a 7mm, and I’m working on the 2xl. I’ve started with the sleeves, and it seems to be going good, as far as size goes. I can’t wait to show you what I create!

some use the sc in the back loop, leaving the front loop for MDC next round. I'm still learning Mosaic Double Crochet, inset and overlay. SO many terms I need to learn and distinguish the difference. thank you.

Good video!! It would have been easier to see if first color and background were not so close in color. I had not realized how fiddly mosaic crochet is, thanks to the yarn tails that have to be hidden. Sometimes the tail you are covering is confusing....makes the stitch look as if you are going under both loops of the stitch, but it is really the back loop and the tail.
@joyofmotioncrochet3 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it! Unfortunately, that's the background I have & it was just as important to have two contrasting colors on the yarn. When it comes to hiding the yarn tails, that's a technique I wanted to share on this video, because then you can avoid all those yarn tails to weave in at the end. Much more valuable (to me) to share that, than to make it less confusing showing it without the technique.

I appreciate your way of crocheting over the ends so to not have to weave them in. But, if I'm making a washcloth, will the ends stay tucked in after use? I will be making this today. Thank you for the pattern.
@joyofmotioncrochet3 жыл бұрын
Hi, for washcloths I would probably work over the ends for a few stitches, but then also take the time to weave them in for extra security. Washcloths are for sure one of those things that will have extra wear & tear.
@jenreeves76843 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree. Thank you. I'm just starting to do mosaic and I think I'm going to like it. Do you have other mosaic patterns? I'm thinking of making a blanket with mosaic patterns.

Hello can you tell me how many stitches are at the end of the setup rows please?
@joyofmotioncrochet2 жыл бұрын
You can find all details including stitch count for that specific piece on my website: joyofmotioncrochet.com/mosaic-crochet-stitch/ There's an option to do multiples, to make it narrower or wider.
@francoisgouws72889 ай бұрын
What happened to the 3chains you skipped in the first set up row?
@joyofmotioncrochet9 ай бұрын
I skipped 2 and worked into the 3rd chain. 1st skipped chain counts as 1 single crochet, second skipped chain was the final chain on the "chain-row".
