Iranians, Shia Muslims, did all they could to help the sunni Palestinians. But those sunni countries (their leaders of Egypt, Jordan, Saudis, Katar and others) have sold the Palestinians down the river. It is simple as that. Nobody can blame Iran for anything. Why would having an Islamist state be beneficial for Israel? If you play any strategy game like EU4 for example. First you might want to pay rebels to spawn in that nation. That way your enemy wastes resources & manpower fighting those rebels. You keep your own manpower, & then just as the rebels are about to win, you invade & take all the forts quicker. Fighting rebels is always easier than fighting national armies.
