Hey Josh I got my Sec+ in February and I followed it up with enrolling in your cyber course in April. It’s now June and I landed a job as a SOC Analyst. Thank you so much for your insight. Your course was worth every penny. For those struggling with the catch 22 of being certified but have no experience, take Josh’s course! It’s worth it

So that's TWO of your graduates that have said your AD PowerShell video helped them in their interview. I'm glad I did it too. I'm gonna get some more reps in.

You guys have to remember it’s a competition! Practice makes perfect and experience means everything. Talk about the problems you can solve do projects certs don’t mean anything I have no certs started my first IT help desk job in the end of 2022. Today I’m a network specialist working on switches and servers. Learn AD,serves, networking do projects for each post them on your resume you’ll get calls.

I’ve gotten interviews. Horrible paying jobs but at least interviews. I now have my security + and it’s still hard

I work as an ISO as well - also under risk management. 3 years in IT/InfoSec + a bachelor’s in cybersecurity prior to my promotion in January 2024. Pretty interesting seeing someone with no experience land this as their first role. I’ve gotten grilled pretty heavily during audits, ITGC, IT-VA, and regulatory examinations on my qualifications and background. Best wishes, Derek!

The trick to not be destroyed by seniors after a technical interview is to prepare together with them. If they don't want or don't have the time, there is better workplaces out there.

How did you get a job as an Information Security Officer without a CISSP or CISA? I searched for these jobs and they all want a one of these certifications.

I think another important asset the interviewee forgot are career centers at your universities. They have people whose whole job is helping you get a job. Resume included.

It sounds like he is having a tough time with his colleagues. I hope you advised him to get into a role, where at least he is not completely alone and being challenged to an ego battle by his seniors.

Hey Josh , I’m keen to get into cloud support engineering or sysadmin and skip help desk. No IT experience and whilst I do have a degree it is non technical. However, I am currently on a AWS cloud bootcamp which will allow me to sit the AWS CCP. I’m looking to supplement my bootcamp by doing either your IT or cyber course afterwards. Which of your courses would you say will best equip me with the skills for sysadmin or cloud support IT or cyber?

Is the course good for someone in an entry level looking to move up ?
@JoshMadakor3 ай бұрын
Yes. The ideal person I made this for, is someone with Sec+ knowledge who needs help bridging the gap from "I know some security basics" to being able to get a job. What you describe kind of falls in this category as well.
