Let's get rid of the silly Dons name! The legacy has been toxic & has made enemies across football. Well played Mr. Chairman, a brilliant visionary & you helped put MK on the map! Hat's off!

Listen, nobody can fault Pete Winkelman for what he’s done for Milton Keynes FC. He’s been committed to the project and he’s done a lot for Milton Keynes as a whole. However, we can’t forget that he contributed to the demise of Wimbledon FC as a club. He was the one who approached them about the move to Milton Keynes, not the other way around. The way he behaved towards Wimbledon fans has since been antagonistic, disrespectful and blamed the fans for their club’s demise. Ignoring the fact Sam Hammam had ripped the fans off for years and the football club had become a franchise. Was it all Winkelman’s fault? Of course it wasn’t. Was it around 70 or 80% his fault? Yes it was. He made the suggestion to move them when they were at their most vulnerable, he wouldn’t leave the owners alone until they agreed and he knew he was going to have to buy the club as any smart businessman knew the effect moving the club would have on their support. He got away with the move through lying as well that Milton Keynes would never be able to work through the leagues. You tell AFC Wimbledon that who started from scratch to resurrect their football club. So sorry, I do feel for him. Yet it can’t be forgotten how Milton Keynes got their football through capitalising on the demise of another club. If he had love for Wimbledon, he would have saved them and continued the ownership in London. He didn’t give a shit about saving Wimbledon FC like he claims. He liquidated the club the second their final season in MK was over and renamed all their websites, their company names and the football club as a whole MK Dons. It was a project that was always going to fail. I think the new owners will make little difference to that. You can’t make fans support a club. Apart from the locals in their late teens and early 20s who have no memories of what it was MK did, they have around 3-4,000 regular fans at most. Nobody is going to support a new club that has no history when they have Luton around the corner who are now regulars in the top two flights and have a proper history.

Nobody is reading your angry lil essay mate. Wimbledon need to get over themselves, the fans not going was what killed Wimbledon. Wimbledon then did exactly the same thing to Kingston that MK did to Wimbledon. They’re hypocrite scumbags.

Always comes across as a good genuine guy i thought, shows he really does care about it all, shame he could only take it so far
What you need to do is stop keep losing at home too many losses over the years.
