One of major archeological proof for Kushan not being Buddhist comes from Tokri tilla. Inscription here named this settlement Devakula. Deva was East Persian Aryan offshoot of Bactria and Sogdia that competed with Ashura of mainland Persia. All artifacts in settlement of Tokri tilla near Mathura are of Bactrian gods not related to Buddhism. Few of these deities later turned into modern Hinduism pantheon with new names

Any of your knowledge about Kaniska I think the true religion then of the area and time was Buddhism. Later on as per human psyche and worth, turned away from truth and again started worshipping idols as Hindus.... Indus Valley, Kushan, Pakistan

Very interesting podcast. The only thing I would have liked is for the speaker not to interject 'yeah' every now and then. It is a little annoying. Make that VERY annoying. Also, as with all Australians, there is a lot of 'uptalk', where the ends of the sentences are framed as questions.
