IT USED TO BE THE BIGGEST MALL IN THE WORLD BACK IN THE 80’s. Please I live in Edmonton and I used to go there as a kid all the time. I live 10 minuetes from this mall i would absolutely love a video from you about it. It has a huge amusement park and a very big indoor water park one of the biggest ones in the world in the 80’s.

How did I miss this
@ArneNieberding6 жыл бұрын
I really do miss the original mission to the moon. I remember riding it as a kid and each time saying hi to “manneke maan” (the smiling moon) as we’d inch towards it during the ride. The interior walkway has been covered up, so you can’t see into the dome anymore, but you can still hear the rollercoaster itself. It’s still an amazing ride, but there’s no denying that the original voyage made for a more cohesive story than the current Hyperspace Mountain overlay. I’m wondering what will happen when they remove the temporary Star Wars overlay...
@smuella6 жыл бұрын
We're still allowed to dream right...? The original was among the best attractions in the world easily. The whole athmosphere was so dense, especially with the views into the dome and the trains passing by like comets. The soundtrack still gives me the shivers.

Sounds like the IP-ification of the Disney Parks is partly due to the Imagineers themselves, or at least Tony Baxter. I wonder if there will be a Defunctland episode on the Starcade. Despite not being officially defunct, according to Yesterland, for all intents and purposes, it certainly is. I hope that a future guest on the podcast will be someone from Disney Interactive (RIP). So what does Tim Delaney think of the direction that the Disney Parks are heading in now? Especially Disneyland itself with adding a whole land dedicated to an IP.
