I went in 2010 with my parents and infant sister. At this time, they were still using the original fast pass system, and they also had another line skipping system that let one parent and the older child (me) wait in line while the other parent waited outside. After they rode, the parents would switch, and the parent who waited outside could skip the line and ride the ride as well. This allowed for both parents to ride every ride, while always having one parent taking care of the baby. For me, it was the greatest thing ever, because I was able to ride every ride twice. Now, my dad was one of the people who pretty much intuitively understood fast pass and the way it worked, so he was able to maximize their use. This culminated in basically the best vacation ever for younger me, because I waited in one line for every 4 rides (wait in one while fast passing another. Ride the first ride twice, then go skip the line with the fast pass and ride that ride twice)

I have a literal PhD in science fiction with an emphasis on pre-20th century literature and wrote extensively on automata, robotics, pre-posthumanism, and mechanical life.... and this was a STELLAR introduction to the field. 10/10. absolutely fantastic and if I were still teaching the first 20 minutes of this video would be in my syllabus. just. incredible. well done and hats off to you, my friend. thank you for such a wonderful video. ❤

I use to go to both Toys R Us and FAO with my dad when he would take me to his job when I was young. I use to think it was so magical 😢❤ some times we wouldn’t buy anything we would just walk around. Just spending time with my dad was fun for me.

When my school did this as a kid they had everyone write the 3 jobs they would most want and 3 they do not want. My teacher gave me my number one most hated job idea. It was a terrible field trip. All the fun creative or top jobs like mayor were given to the “popular” kids. Lot of blond white kids at the top.

Mr. Perjurer really outdid himself with the audio on this one. The soundscape is telling the story as much as the video and the narration in every scene.

A few years ago my mom and I went to Disney and we actually went to Galaxy's edge and I got to experience the rise of the Resistance group boarding experience thing. It was near impossible to get a spot on the ride! There were two chances in the day that we were going to go, one at like 7:30 in the morning and one about halfway through the day in the park. If we had not gotten the second go of boarding groups, I would not have gotten to have ridden the ride

The story behind the wiggles forming is actually quite heart breaking. his niece, which was the daughter of another cockroaches band member died from SIDS so they disbanded cockroaches, anthony went to get his degree in early childhood education and stated that the death of his neice was ultimately what formed the wiggles. it's a tribute to her

Marvel and Toei didn't just already have a working relationship on animated shows shown on this side of the Pacific, but on live-action ones shown on the other. They collaborated on a few tokusatsu shows in Japan, including the Japanese version of Spider-Man (which introduced the giant robot fight to weekly toku that would later be used in Super Sentai and in turn Power Rangers) and Battle Fever J (which was very, very loosely based on Captain America.

So many times throughout this video I have been just shocked at how this applies to today. The parallels are very blindingly obvious. Animatronics vs AI. The ethics of reanimating dead people. The sudden and scary influx of art being taken over by machines instead of humans. I’m going to theorize that will be tackled in part two but I am seriously impressed by this video about animatronics. I thought it would be boring but also it’s Defunctland so how could it be boring?
