I recognise a lot of what Syd went through. My ‘rebirth’ happened when I was 35 after a near death experience (as well as some big life events) that changed everything. It also has made me sit with myself and look within. I made more strides as a human being in the past 7 years than the rest of my life before that. Post traumatic growth is a powerful thing. Good on Syd for getting through and coming out the other side.

Syd is a great guy with a truly astounding story to tell. His book is a rollercoaster of emotion written in his own unique Manc style. I can highly recommend it to vegans and non vegans alike.

👏 👏👏 Syd is an effing legend and flipping inspiration. As a person who is also healing I so rung true with him when he said his love dumped him when he was dying. My relationship ended not long ago but oddly enough despite the heart break this tiny lass has gotten a lot stronger. Thank you for this interview lads it was so inspirational. Let's get this man's book on the top 10 bestseller books shall we?

Thank you for the great interview. It adds to my well-being and know I am also on the right path now. By the way, I couldn't eat meat until middle school, couldn't swallow it, gagged on it. But with being persuaded by our meat-eating culture that I should like meat, I slowly started to eat meat by camouflaging the taste of it with lots of tomato slices and ketchup dumped all over on top of it. Then there was a 30 year stint that I ate lots of hamburgers. Finally got to where I gained so much weight that it made me start eating vegetarian, then went vegan, and now I have lost 35 pounds and feel great.
