The 70th Detroit Autorama did not disappoint this year. No SIR! The house was packed upstairs and downstairs with over 800 cars and trucks...and a whole lot more.
The Silver Bullet is definitely a celebrity and a race legend! The King of Woodward!! Lets take a walk with Harold Sullivan as we talk about this Detroit BEAST!

Absolute automotive MoPar perfection! That's an amazing piece of MoPar history, to be driven and cared for with much TLC.

Great video albeit a little short on the tech per Silver Bullet drivetrain. We need more engine / suspension details. Cars like this bring me right back to my old days in the 70s when these muscle cars were still easy to find and modify.

Just 1 wish. That I could have this car for one Saturday night on Woodward Avenue in 1969. Imagine that.

Yeah, I saw this in Hot Rod or Car Craft, and it became my favorite car. Out of my league, but I ended up building a stock '66 GTO that ran 12.9s at 110. What I liked best was the stock look of this car and made my goat look completely stock. The engine was only slightly modified, but higher compression with a slightly hotter than stock cam.

Honestly I think it would look better unrestored. Like the black ghost the story and it’s unrestored makes it 10x better

At least this car is actually fast unlike the black ghost which is a bone stock car with a cool story

There was a magazine article years ago about this car, it needed resto. I believe the original engine is long gone, and there's a crate motor in it now.

@@chasebeavers The car came to Jimmy Addison (RIP) direct from Chrysler research engineering. It was sitting on a back lot and was never even titled. It had a 440 wedge and was originally Blue. The Chrysler gang knew Jimmy, then known as the King of Hemis, and gave him a whole bunch of new parts etc to test . He swapped the 440 out and highly modified a 426 Hemi with new crank/cam/ stroked to 487 cu in. Chrysler supplied Ally heads, a very specific exhaust scheme as well as suspension parts. The GTX was a test bed for the company's racing R&D and they wanted a street racer that would blow away everyone else hence securing the Mopar reputation on and off the track. I have heard that the current motor is a different Hemi and that Sullivan did the swap but still has the original Addison Hemi .
