I agree with you there. This man's voice and his style of singing is very unique. The way he sings can make you feel like you were there when the song took place. The way he appears in these interviews makes him seem like he could start a long conversation with even a stranger and make it feel like he had known you for several years. He seems like a very nice guy and someone who is really down to earth

For me and my kids, it was Swingin' I live just outside of SLC and got so lucky a few years back that John happened to be performing 3 hours away in Jackpot, NV. I'd never before heard of this small casino town. The casino showroom, Cactus Jacks, probably held 100 people. Half seated, half at tables. Quite possibly the most intimate performance I've ever experienced with such a legend. Worth its weight in gold!

I'm Johns 2nd Cousin. Amazing artist!!! I remember when I was 10 or 11 years old mom n dad and myself went over to (Junior and Juanita's) Johns parents house, John took the time to show me a blue electric guitar he had before taking off to band practice. This was in Apopka FL shortly before I believe he left for Nashville. Didn't hear much for the next couple of years until he released a 45 with (Swoop Down Sweet Jesus) on the A side. I think this was around late 1979 or 1980. Then of course shortly after he exploded on the country music scene. I've always admired his song writing and vocal talent. Wish more people where exposed to this extraordinary gifted musician and man.

I am John's ex next door neighbor when he lived for nearly a decade at his cruddy mgr's house Ed Morgan, after swoop. If you know him well, you know his opinion of that song, nuff said. Ed Morgan, Irving Tx. I roadied dallas and ft worth clubs and played along during practice occasionally (very quietly). Went to school with the she devil, Bev that was his succubus for a short time. John has ALWAYS been glad to see me, wow my daughters with invites and meets, and to this day, can amaze me by picking them out of a crowd. This was when Vernon and Gypsy were his guitarists. One day, went over to visit, and get some air, that was free of my parents, (who always griped about the band practicing next door, 'TILL HE HIT IT!). Said he had signed with warner, I think it was. They ordered his choice of guitars, he specified Martin d35 with brazillian rosewood to seal the deal. I now own a Kazuo Yairi brazillian copy of this. Martin factory burned after his order was placed, he freaked because all of the brazillian burned, but they called him personally to say his brazillian wood had already been pulled prior to the Martin factory fire, so he got one of the last brazillian Martins of that era. One time he came back to town after hitting it, asked me to watch the guitar while he went out on the town. Said "watch it close! I mean take it to the bathroom with you!" Y'know, my Dad must have called the irving tx pd near a hundred times on John and Ed. Even so, John was always, ALWAYS! very very courteous and cordial, to a fault! And it was wierd, so was my dad, to John. He loathed Ed Morgan, John's band mgr and landlord and our next door neighbor. You may quote me, John is my Brother, and he calls me brother as well! Steve Lawrence

As a fellow Floridian I always loved your style and music. You were a musical influence for me and I miss hearing you on the radio. Millions of us long to hear real country from the Artists that have made country music from Hank Williams SR to George Strait and Alan Jackson. The record labels have abandoned us for this pop country. There is room for both but if you watch these award shows they seem to be doing everything they can to remove the country from country music. Get the word out and your fans that love you will buy your music.

Once I was a small time musician in Macon, Ga and had the privilege of working with Murray Price. A few days ago I was thinking of him and was able to find him on KZbin to my amazement. I remember you from way back then but had never laid eyes on you for some odd reason. When I saw you performing Working Man Blues and Old Chunk of Coal from 1982 I fell in love! Then I said to my husband, "Wonder what he even looks like now?" Then this interview appeared next and I've got to say, I'm still in love! The interview is wonderful and I was particularly pleased to hear about your friendship with The Hag, as I have always loved him! Glad you're still at it and I hope you don't stop anytime soon. Great Interview. Thank You!!! I would love to see Mr. Anderson continue to sing his music especially, the Seminole Wind. I would love for him to expand this song because they continue to dig their empty holes, with their plans of draining our lands, all for the Silver and Gold or as they may call it "the Matrix." Wish we could connect, to discuss our vision and plans. It would be our honor to work with him to reconnect People to Our Mother Earth, What He Has Given!!! Hopeful that someone can help us connect??? Native Floridian that grow up in the Florida Swamp and as children, swam in the very drainage canals that drained our lands. #MniWiconi #WaterIsLife #WeCanDoBetter
