- Manager creates a document in some obscure program - Stores it in their Google Drive and sends everyone a link - No one has permissions to access the file - Now we can open it, but we don't even know the program and manager CBA to export it in PDF or something - Figure out the source program, but it only runs on MacOS - Fk it, forget about the document, and just eyeball the project and deliver some PoC - Manager proudly presents the PoC as their design, and complains that engineers took too long to understand his simple and brilliant idea - Why do we live, just to suffer?

This dredges up memories of when our VP Sales tried to get the dev who built our ERP to redo his entire backend (global for every customer config) to get around an internal control system for accounts payable. When the dev refused the VP fumed about how the guy was a "lazy fucker"... I mean it's only an accounting system that forms the backbone of the entire order management/treasury/controllership function that keeps all the investors from suing the officer/directors for defrauding them, so I think he had a point, the dev should have just made it more like Excel and less like some overly complicated thing that keeps people from vouching payables directly into their own personal bank account. Sheesh.
