This is the first video of the Hajj uploaded on to youtube many years ago from Arnold Perl's documentary.
Malcolm X was assassinated 50 years ago this month (February 21st 1965). He would have been almost 90 years old. But he left us when his time was due. A fearless, courageous and sincere man who will never be forgotten by those who stand with the oppressed.
We will remember him today as we did yesterday as our beloved brother.
We remember him and appreciate the sacrifices he made for not only the African Americans but all people across the world. May God grant him mercy and the highest station in paradise. Ameen.
Press conference on Malcolm X's Views on Race issues in America upon returning from Mecca, Saudi Arabia
Views of Malcom X after Mecca i.e Sunni Islam. Original video showing the evolved Malcolm X.

Malcolm X was developing even within the NOI. The trip to Mecca immensely affected his insight but that wasn't the only factor. He became an international figure after travelling throughout the world and meeting heads of state. He was a person who was revising his ideology right up until his death. To say one thing or another was solely responsible for his views is an injustice to the person who he was. It is a well known fact that Malcolm X was fully aware of Orthodox Islam way before Mecca.

They only feared him once he went "Global" and began uniting nations and peoples. Before when he was only into "black" this and black "that" only-they didn't care b/c he was separating himself from the people. Every culture had practiced slavery, don't be ashamed as if your race are the only one who were guilty of it. Europeans, Asians and even Africans themselves historically participated in it. But we can be proud that the Prophet made efforts of reforming slavery but introducing new rights, and penance in the form of freeing slaves.

Deep South White man here. Malcolm X was a just and upright man for his people. I have nothing but respect for what he was working for. He wanted equality for black folks, and they deserve that. We are not there yet. Yes, there are many rich black folks out there. Sports figures, entertainers, and so on. Still, if you are somewhere as a white person where the majority (or all) of the people around you are black, and you get nervous, then we are not where we need to be yet. There is work still to be done. On both sides. A problem between two people doesn't get solved by the work of one. It's a joint effort. So join the effort, be a part of the solution. Peace, love and harmony to you all.

Dear "BSCI70," if you read the rest of this thread, you'll see that the place (Hotel Theresa) and date (May 21, 1964) of this video were established months ago. Also, as the son of Garveyites, Malcolm X was "international" from the time that he was a child. However, it was not until he broke from Elijah Muhammad's Nation of Islam that he was to pursue his long-held international interests unfettered. I have the honor to be Cordial-Lee yours, Paul Lee

Your talking rubbish, because even Malcolm HIMSELF said that the trip to Mecca changed him. First, when he was in the Nation of Islam, he believed in Black Supremecy, and that whites and blacks should be separate. But when he came back from Mecca, and saw the black AND white muslims worshipping together, he said he changed his thinking, and believed in EQUALITY. that every 'human being' should be respected. And they should have "brotherhood" like in Islam. watch more of his other interviews!
