Gavin is such a motivation fuel for drummers! When there has been points in my drumming career when I have been feeling not so inspired towards playing and overall in music I have watched Gavin play or do interviews and that does it for me. Such a phenomenal and inspiring human being.

Great interview, loved every minute of it. Gavin should do TED Talks on drumming. I haven’t played drums in years & listening to him is so inspiring, I have an urge to kick it on a kit. Thanks 🙏for interviewing him

Excellent interview. Thanks Gene and David ! I too, have been following Gavin's travels since the "In Absentia" days. The thing that caught my ear about his technique were all the 1/64 fill's added between beats. His teaming up with Antoine Fafard for "Chemical Reactions" is an album I continually turn to as of late. Love his style.

How the hell did you guys hook up gavin harrison, that's epic. I go to great lengths to but the Porcupine tree high resolution surround sound albums, sometimes very hard to find in australia. I have them all and love it. With the emergence of atmos surround sound, I try get people in at my house for a listening session to try inspire a new generation of surround sound enthusiasts to keep it going strong and it always blows people away .

I have seen Porcupine 3 times in Oslo. One of them was in a festival, outside. First 2 concerts was inside a concert hall called Spectrum that got the best acoustics in Oslo. I thought it would be a let down regarding SQ in a concert outside but I was wrong. I also seen Gavin with King Crimson. What at drummer and what nice guy he is! Thanks for the interview.

30 best Gavin Harrison's solo drum improvisations from live King Crimson concerts? Given that it was all recorded in 4 or 8k video and 96 or 192k sound over lots of channels, this can be made into a very unique at-home musical experience. Where do I sign a petition to make this happen? :-)

Mispronounces names. Gets dates wrong. Confuses magazines. Asks questions Gavin had answered 15 years ago. There was zero prep. Still... always good to listen to Gav.

@@anotherDnightmare Want some cheese with your whine? So I don't remember tour dates, sue me. I asked Gavin questions he NEVER gets asked elsewhere and the more obvious ones were meant as an introduction of Gavin to our home theater centric audience. You can thank Audioholics for introducing Dolby Atmos to Steven Wilson who didn't even know what the technology was when I interviewed him during his Hand Cannot Erase album. Now, SW and PT are mixing in Atmos.

I've heard a rumour that Lee and Lifeson have joined PT. This will be the first time we'll see PT in big arena venues with a huge light show etc. Two nights at each venue (1st night - An Evening of Rush Music and More featuring Lee, Lifeson, and Harrison + guests. 2nd night - full PT show featuring Wilson, Barbieri, Harrison, Lee, and LIfeson).
