The calmness that Armand uses with Daniel when he is about to kill him fucked me up because it tricked me for just a moment that he wasn't manipulative and toxic. This acting is absolutely amazing, and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode.

Makes ya think what other memories has Armand manipulated throughout the years? He's had 77 years of memories to mess with.👀😵

I really liked your review, especially how you talked about how Louis is suicidal. On a side note, poor Daniel, having to deal with these unstable vampires 😂

A fascinating episode. "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" with vampires. This was filmed sequentially, sometimes without rehearsal. Sam Reid came in to do the voiceover. This was the first episode filmed for the season because they wanted to allow Delainey Hayles the time to get into the character of Claudia.

It's been a week and I'm still not over this episode and I don't think I ever will be. Loved every second of it, and yeah, it seems like episodes number five of this show contain a special form of violence, and I love it. "His boredom is a mercy" indeed! The thing with Armand is, he'd never hurt Louis physically I think, but he's perfectly capable of hurting people who are dear to Louis. That's his form of cruelty. Louis, on the other hand, strikes with words. The things he said to Armand were beyond brutal, so basically he caused everything that's happened to Daniel afterwards. And Poor Danny just got caught up in the middle of their toxicity.

I cackled the 2nd time I watched that argument! Baby they went at it!!!! When Armand asked if he's atoned for Paris...."Absolutely not!!! Cuz where is Louis daughter sister???????????" But Armand did look good coming back with them glasses on. This was such a great episode.

18:20 I absolutely love that you had an understanding of the politics that are mentioned in this episode... I'm Canadian and don't really know a huge amount about the US presidents and so... The fact that you actually knew culturally what was happening...kinda hilarious and I LOVE it because I had zero clue what the reference was... And NONE of the other reacters on KZbin have talked about it!... It was genuinely interesting to learn that this vice president was in a scandal pre Watergate which I do know Watergate was like a BIG thing. I don't remember all the details about it but it was BAD, from what I can remember.... So yeah that's a really nice little tidbit of information that has not been in ANY other reacters videos so far! Very cool!

This episode is top tier - writing, acting, cinematography. I adore every one of these toxic, tragic, f'd up characters. I'm here for all of it. Was Armand really talking to Lestat? Daniel can't hear what's in Armand''s head. Louis can't hear Lestat in Armand's head as Lestat is his maker. So was it another manipulation by Armand? I do not know. What is real lol? I cannot wait for the next episode and your awesome reaction.

What I don’t understand is why would Armand leave Louis completely alone with Daniel? He knows that Daniel is a bold and highly skilled journalist, savvy enough to chip away at Louis’s recollections to reveal the truth.
@PercySnackson4 ай бұрын
maybe for the same reason he let Lestat dissolve the coven? Deep down he wants it to be over already

I thinks it's Arrogance, Vampire's because of their immortality still look down on humans and assume they are superior, I feel like Armand still underestimates Daniel and overestimates his own abilities.

i think armand let louis suffer for 5 days before helping him. armand left louis on the bed (with only thin paper covering the windows) and didn't feed him.... why else would louis go from screaming in pain to walking and arguring in minutes

Nice reaction, but I just really disagree about Louis being a broken record about Lestat. He's obsessed in his own head, of course, but Armand himself says Louis hasn't mentioned the man in 23 YEARS. And Armand is sooooo ridiculous and horrible (i love him), because despite Louis not having talked of Lestat for decades, the moment Louis spends one (1) single night bitching about the guy to a friendly stranger, suddenly it's the end of the world. Also mind you Armand only knows what Louis said because he was eavesdropping on Louis after refusing to accompany him. Like a creep. No wonder Louis was lonely lol he can't have a private convo!
