Also, Daniel was joking about a second book. He contacted Louis because he also heard all the other vamps talking about killing him, so he was checking up on him because he was worried about him given that they're friends now (according to Jacob Anderson). The last thing Daniel says is, "Get out of Dubai, Louis."

We don't know that Louis and Lestat didn’t get back together. They could be in a long distance relationship. And if they didn’t get back together here, they will next season because they do in the books.
