I'm that accordion player that Tim mentioned, and it makes me very happy to hear that he said that. :) I made that cover when I had been playing for only about a year, so I think I could play it again rather a bit better. And it was actually the version by The Phenomenauts that actually first turned me to the song. They're another great group.

Really enjoyed that interview. Much respect to Tim's deep musical knowledge and influences. First time I became aware of the Polecats was an article in NME (16th Feb 1980). To me at the time, being from Newcastle, the Royalty Ballroom in North London seemed almost as mythical as Memphis Sun Records. Saw them at the Newcastle City Hall in the early 80's and got their autographs on the back of a green A4 sheet which had the lyrics to "Rock with The Caveman) which they used as their sound Check. (turns out this song was co written by actor Mike Pratt who co-starred in Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) on TV).
