Thanks for the info pal! I was wondering why you didn't put the cord at the bottom around the posts too. It helps to keep it steady I guess. It's good to know that these pools will a while, if you take care of 'em. This is my second year with mine (intex ultra frame 16' x 48"). I live in Florida and keep it up all year round. Going in it tomorrow. Yay!

is a test strip from walmart ok?? we have a 15 by 48 in a box in the living room (lol) and after reading online about chemicals and how to take care of pool water I am thinking of taking it back ...is it difficult? ive also read online people can use Clorox bleach and borax and baking soda they call it bbb and say that most floating clohrine tablets have copper in them and that causes issues with copper and algie...can you tall me how when you sit up your pool what you do to take care of it??

My blow up ring pool lasted 5 summers. Of course, I drained it and stored it in the garage for the winter.

Hello Billy, thank you for looking at the video. The rope you speak of has been where it is for the last 4 years and been just fine. That is the reason I did not and have not mentioned it. But it is a good thing for people to know that they might want to do that. I will be trying to post a video this season on how to put down some sand to give a great base for installing your pool. we got the inflatable ring pool last year and it was so difficult to put up and take down. and due to poor storage during the winter, we've had to throw it out :S we're gonna try this type of pool next year and it seems so much better in terms of overall set up - it looks like it would be a LOT easier to empty out and clean.

hello Maci, that pool was 12'x32" deep, I took it down and set out up 5 summers on a row, this year we moved up to the 24'x52" deep. pool and we are loving it. this one is a bit tho big to put up and take down but I will be showing some of my tips and tricks this coming week. on bringing the water back from winter, leave, and Bug hell. sho we can go swimming Inn the coming weeks so stay tuned. and thanks for watching.

Hello to all. Thanks for the comments, I really do rad them all and appreciate all the suggestions. The drain and cover ideas might work in England but will not work here in Florida. With s empty pool basically becomes a kite and with hurricanes a possibility, well you can imagine the rest we do get done really bad afternoon storms like today. 90+ degrees by 1 pm and the thunderstorm move in with severe lightning and such. Wings in access of 60+ miles per hour would blow a empty pool away. Hence the reason I tried to leave it full the one time and cover it. Then has it full of frogs, tadpoles. All kinds of critters. And to the guy about toys a stick level out roll a ball level .nope way OFF here we use poor a bucket of water and watch which way it runs and keep filling it in till it doesn't any longer.LOL thanks again for the comments stay wet. Wanted to add that it helps to put a border of stone around the pool to keep those lawn guys away from the pool - that's what I did, white smooth stones and border around it to hold everything in.

I got one from crags list for $80 bucks. put it up stayed up for 6 years just this month it rusted through a stand . great pool just bought a new one.

I sure wish I didn't have to worry about it. I have mine leveled with sand and actually have concrete pads set in the ground to set all the poles on, and still have a problem keeping the poles level with the rope tied tight at the bottom.

You set that pool up with no sand underneath? I just bought the 12'x30" and am not sure if I need the sand or not. I will have to level the yard out a bit.. but was going to put it right on the dirt (removing the grass). Did you remove the grass or just put it right on top? I plan on taking it down at the end of every season.

ok sorry for the delay. Yes I put that smaller pool right on the grass. If you want to take out all of the grass you can. BUT at least take a hard rake and the a flexible one and rake the area very well, making sure to get rid of any possible twigs or sticks that could puncture a hole in the bottom of the pool. The new video for the bigger pool I did lay down about 3 yards of sand and leveled it out with a 2x4 stuck in the middle with a large nail. This worked very well for the big pool but i found it not necessary for the smaller pool. now a word to the wise, Definitely Vacuum out the pool and clean it out the best you can before you drain it. Then starting from one side start standing or propping the pool up in the air and get as much of the bottom off the ground as possible. Once propped up let it stay up for at least a day to let the bottom dry off ,then lower it down and flip it over and rinse off the bottom and again let it dry completely before you roll it up and double bag it to put it away for the winter. i had my small one for over 6 years doing it this way and every year when i took it back out for set up I did not get slapped in the face with a fowl odor after opening the trash bags. /L Kathy you just have to take either your hand or a small pair of poets and carefully pinch from the bottom the open end of the little plastic pens. These snap in place and have a split down the middle and give so you can pinch them depending upon your strength. And then just either push them or what I do is use a small either brass hammer or regular small head hammer and hit it from the bottom up and it will push it up through the hole and then you can grab it again either with your finger

You also need to put the rope that's attached to the bottom around the bottom of your poles to help hold them in place!

Hello Mr. Izurieta I do not know about your area but where i live the electric prices are always going up.So the little POOL PUMP will not effect the bill that much.I have the local Ace Hardware or Pool place test your water for you. This will reduce the amount of time you will have to run the pump on the pool. Let the chemicals do the work. And keeping the pool clean will also make it to wear you do not have to vacuum the bottom the pool as much and this will save you a lot time and money.

The blow up pools can be left up all hear ling i have one... I also had a 15 foot metal frame and kept it up..ppl always throw the ring pools away throwing money down the drain

Hi, I've had this pool for about 4 yrs now. Unfortunately, due to poor storage over winter there are tiny holes on the bottom of the pool. Have you experienced anything like this since you've had it as long as you have? Also, do you know of anyway to fix it? I've seen pool liners for better structured above ground pools, do you know if these could work for the intex pools? Any help would be great, thank you.

Sorry for the delay I have not had access for a while.long story but NO I have not had any problems.see I double bag mine at the end of the season and close both with lots of electrical tape. And duct tape to close out any buggies. And so far I have been very fortunate. It has set up again this season and kids are in it right now.except for the fact that it is to small for them now and we cannot afford a bigger one it is doing fine. I wish you better luck with your next pool Double bag it is the trick though. With the bag I one way then out the second bag on from the other end I'd that makes sense.

Hello Bill, Sorry for the slow response the internet is getting switched over out here where we are and we have gone from one carrier to another. The answer is 36"x12' and I would recommend go ahead and spend the money now and you can get summer close outs if you really look from like Wallly World, and Target, and such on the little bit bigger one say 16'x48" i almost got it the other day in the box store all included with pump 499.99. OK without actual pictures or inch amounts Whitney cannot tell for sure and this is only my sophisticated rednek opinion. So my rule of thumb and actually why we will be placing some sand down to set up the pool this year is if you fill up the pool and the one side is at the top and the opposite side or low side is more than SAY 4" lower there is probably to much tilt and there is a real threat of the pool leaning enough to squirt out the water of one side.

yes you can BUT make sure to dig down enough so as not to cause the posts to stick up to high. Again all of the weight is supported by the material on those horizontal poles between and you want it all as flush as possible. I never used anything under them and as a matter of fact the first and last I set that one up I had sand brought in to DO IT LIKE IT SAYS ON TOP OF SAND, that year the pool was the hardest to clean off after the season than ever, and the legs sunk down in the sand, so use caution.

If you would note please in the series I video of this event ,I mentioned that in fact where i live we do not take the time or the money to lay down the Sand AND oR UNDER LINING ..so that is why you do not see it,,i have set this pool up wich was given to us for the past 4 years and i have had no problems so i must be doing something correct ,,but thanks for veiwing and keep the coments coming ...

Oh Yes, if you take care like I show you and dry it off fold it up and double bag it and store it in a dry place over the winter. You can use it over and over like I have.

Informative video, but take a Dramamine first. Camera moves pretty fast back and forth. This pool was apparently infested with frogs one year. Doesn't look new but it seemed to clean up nicely. One question. I live in VA temps been running in the 90s, but I'm setting my pool under the shade of a tree. (nowhere else allowed regulations and yard size etc) What can I expect in water temps?

Please read back and realize the rope is disintegrated and does absolutely nothing. the new pool we have now doesn't even have the rope. this one is 12'x42" we have a much larger 23' across index pool now, but this one served us well for over 5 years and a friend of ours gave us the pool when they upgraded. so to carry that forward when we purchased the larger pool I found a guy who had been doing a little bit of helping me out with some bigger projects. he has 2 boys and had 0lans on trying to get them a pool. I said after the end of a long day back your truck over by that shed. I opened the shed and showed him the the bags with all of the parts to make the pool, just waiting to be erected that year. he was elated, asked how much I wanted for it, when I said NOTHING, you can have it. he put it up the next day and that was last year he has put it up again this year and his family are enjoying it every day. taking things forward and giving more of yourself and asking less of basically anybody for anything will pay you back in so many ways. sorry got off on a tangent there for a second. Why can't I use an extension cord

extension cord lengthens the distance the electricity has to travel and weakens the amount of juice that gets to the motor, this will fry a motor too much or too little amps or volts to the motor will fry any electric motor some faster than others. Read the owners manual and it will explain maybe better.

Hello and thank you first for watching my videos. Now about the rope, YES you are completely correct BUT after the second year of being up all summer long it had rotted into two pieces. So therefore were it fell inside or outside of the poles was immaterial. But again thanks for looking. dont kill frogs! they eat bugs and mosquitos. i think i read 1 frog eats 100 mosquitos a day....that is a great service. plus they are cute! if you find their language as "noise" rather than natures lullaby you are not an animal or nature person. i have a pond, and the frogs are super loud. it is comforting to me. i love to sit in my screened in porch at night and read all thecwhile listening to my frogs! i do thank you for the helpful hints tho...

Nope didn't forget them, I've never worried about them you see. This year makes I think 6 years I have set up the same pool in the same spot, the same way. It was a gift from some friends of ours. So I really never expected it to lay this long but I meticulously out it away the same each year. I will make a video of that this year. I am able to fold it down and stuff this complete pool into a large trash bag. Then I double it from the opposite end and tape it shut so no critters can get into and mess it up. And it has worked. I also put ask the plastic do dad's into a Ziploc baggie and throw them in there too. Then bag the polls up and call it a day. Thanks for watching.

What is the purpose of not bending over to put the rope around the pole? Even if you think they are not needed, it sure looks a hell of a lot neater. never mind the fact you are giving advice against what the company says to do.

giddy moon honestly dear giddy, the ropes over the first 3 years of use started to rot and stink really bad. After being stored in the bags over the winter season. So the last two years they are so stretched out and tattered and torn that even if I did put them around the bottom it would be for not. And all in vain because again at this point they REALLY! Dio not appear to help. NOW if I would have had it right OFF the bat new you are correct I would have set the POOL up exactly like they say to.
