Me just doing the grueling search of pool covering advice and then I run into this little gem of a video! You just freed me from all hard things in life and I’m gonna go get a cup of Joe too!

Ohhh my dog was same, tore ACL osteoarthritis and now the monthly shot for OA for dogs. Funny the similarities. But the pool, you’re lucky, we have trees over ours 😊

Thanks for sharing this. I'm in Northern Utah and am trying to decide if I take down my pool or not. 2 years ago we bought a 10', and holes appeared after the first takedown. We have a 12' now and I really don't want holes from the folding. Gonna give it a try since my pool was $125

Wow I have the same pool, and read the owners manual. As soon I read the section for winterizing and found out it was not to be out below 40 degrees. I was discouraged. Lol Thanks for the video, im going to leave it out this winter, I live in Wisconsin. Question for you.. No tarp, plastic wrap or chemicals in yours?

WOW you always have that one guy thats like f it im going to leave it up and see what happeneds very cool thanks!

Thanks for this info. Does the water freeze solid in the winter or just the top part?

I have a Summer Waves 52"x26', I would never attempt taking down that pool it's too large. Ours has been up 3 years also. Ours does, however have rust on it. Yours looks new, mine does not... 😆. We live in Southern Indiana.

You need a “pool world” play list 😂❤

Do you still have the pool and maybe a video showing how you disconnected and plugged it. Thanks! 😊

I don't know If that's done right. Because the water is green, it can be left up all year long. But you have to buy a winterizing kit and a winter cover and do it correctly

What did you put in the intake holes... i see you drained below outake but i have no idea what to put in the intake for winter thanks

Is the pea rock under the pool?
@langesworld18708 ай бұрын
No, sand, just on the edge to deter critters from digging under her. Works great.

That’s awesome! I have the one with no frame and took it down this winter. Southeastern Massachusetts right in the armpit! I’m getting ready to put it back up and thought I’d see some peoples experience with keeping it up all winter. What’s your thoughts on the frameless one? It’s 16’x48” thanks! Great video

True the stock filter that comes with it is a joke. Thanks for the video

Hi looks great! Did you add any chemicals before closing it? And what is the lowest your winters go? Thanks.
@langesworld18708 ай бұрын
I do not use chemicals when I close just shock it when I open. It hasn't been getting as cold as it has in the past but this year we did get below 0 degrees for about a week.
@32000voisine Жыл бұрын
Hmmm and you don't cover it? I covered mine. There are trees all around me, so I think I need it. Ours rusted a bit at the top joints and on the ladder. We sprayed silicone on it before storing for winter in our basement.

I'm getting un upgrade to a steel frame. I wont ne taking it down but I won't keep it filled to the top just enough water to withstand any string winds blown it away .

Do you have a video of you closing the pool or step by step directions? I'm in SW Michigan myself

So you didn’t use any chemicals to winterize it? I’m asking because I have one similar to yours and winter slowly coming up
@zeldapro18 Жыл бұрын
Probably depends on the model and the area you live in.

Hey there fellow Michigander! I’m assuming this is not salt water? Do you have pea stone all under to pool or did you use something under the footers with the pea stone above it?
@langesworld18708 ай бұрын
So sorry for the late reply. I haven't gotten on my channel for a bit. I deg all the grass and dirt our a few inches down and then brought in some clean washed sand under that. I then had some critters get under her so I then put pea gravel around the outside and worked like a champ.

I see you don’t use a pillow/cover, this is my first year and am trying to figure out what to do. Some people don’t drain it at all and plug the openings and just cover it, others drain it like you did. Is that how you’ve always done it?
@amberevans5817Ай бұрын
The pool cover and pillow along with a chemical winterizing kit is how I did mine last year. This year I'm going to drain it below the inlet/outlet lines so I can remove all the connections. We leave ours up. I live in Northern Utah where it gets cold. I bought a tiny sump pump off amazon to remove the melted snow off the cover. Worked great.

I think people with the regular frame have the rust issues. The XTR is way better.

@langesworld18708 ай бұрын
Still great. Just went out and checked it yesterday and it is ready for another summer! 5 or 6 years now.

Does it freeze all the way to the bottom? A bit worried about ice expanding and ripping the liner. Or is it elastic enough?
@langesworld18708 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if it freezes all the way to the bottom or not but I have never had an issue.

Wondering same thing.. do we drain?? Please let us know thanks
@louisd957142 жыл бұрын
Chances are there is no rust because you are using salt for the pool. The salt is the number one item that would rust the pool.
@langesworld18708 ай бұрын
I do not use Salt.
@timrose-bj1zk2 ай бұрын
That's not true at all I don't use salt at all and I have a well so I have hard water and I most Def have to deal with rust at the start

When you take them down and put them back up hole appears in the folds .. then the wife blames you for the holes.. trust me I know .. if you could use plastic bags to make ice with out getting holes … the best thing to do is to leave this pool out in the elements..
@samjuan34403 ай бұрын
😂. Yup. Was my fault as well that 6 small holes appeared on ours 😂😂
