This is a great dish, Mrs. Gina. I have corn on the cob in the freezer from last season. I was going to make just make freezer corn but now I am going to make this recipe as well. These will be great side dishes for summer or any time. Plus, it will give me room for some fresh corn to freeze in the shuck. I have always loved to shuck corn. It was like a present. You would not know how good it was until you shucked it. Hope to see you this afternoon.

Gina, you made only one 13:14 mistake. You love corn, but your losing so much corn flavor by not juicing those cobbs after cutting the corn off. Just push the back of your knife up and down the cobbs and get all that wonderful corn sugars out. Just try it.

I grew up eating fried corn. I wish I knew how my grandma and parents made it. I know back in the day they used field corn. You can’t buy that in the stores now. It’s not sweet like what we have now. I remember my family cutting it off the cob into a cast iron skillet and They’d scrape the milk off the cob and into the skillet as well. . They added water and seasonings but that’s all I remember. I was young so my memory isn’t great. I’m sure they used bacon grease too. We are from Arkansas so I’m sure it’s a southern way of cooking it. It’s so good! If anyone knows how this is exactly made please let me know how. I miss eating it. 😂
