InTheNight - Young David

Long ago there was a lad
he raised sheep down in the valley
he fought of lions with a wrath
he didnt know he would soon be king
His brothers has all left for war
young davids heart was sore
he knew he could fight but had no invite
his sheep needed him at their side
oh dont be looked down upon
not because you are young
inside you is a powerful might
It can make enemys run and hide
Young david let your heart not break
Young david let your soul not ache
for someday soon your gonna be great
Continue in God ways
nothing can stand againts you
every warrior will fall
just remember to keep your faith
And you can have it all
Well soon young david traveled the land
he had provisions in his hands
his brothers had met him, for the food they were glad
but their joy didnt last so long
A Giant approched the battle grounds looking for a fight
when david stepped up and said this isnt right
he was rebuked by his dads other sons
he went to the king, he stood his ground
he took a sling and stone in hand
he face the Giant knocking him to the ground
saving his peoples land
oh dont be looked down upon
not because you are young
inside you is a powerful might

Sometime later he wrote a song
that made the king feel so calm
but when the people would sing
of davids blessings
the king would feel so small
taking a spear he chased david away
the young king knew he couldnt stay
well saul did it again
chased him out of the land
but young davids heart was not swayed
David has a chance
Sauls life in his hands
but the young kings hads were stayed
he trusted in God, He had so much faith
he didnt harm saul with his blade
then they both forgave
