The demonstration on painting a flower on a color background was my favorite. To see this in practice was eye opening. It is so relaxing to watch Michele’s brush strokes as petals are created. Thanks for sharing Michele.

I love the tip about each flower having its own color palette 🎨 & the tip about the red in the flower to add to the green stem for brown. Thanks so much for the great tips for Color Mixing & I am really looking forward to the new Flower course! 🫶🏻🥰

I am appalled that you think this video is so unpopular. I watched this when it was new and am rewatching it again, just for spite! 😛

Ah the analytics don't lie... KZbin tells me in depth just how disinterested people are. Thank you so much for watching twice though!

Love your channel! You have another subscriber. These tips make sense. Your tone is very soothing, and your art game is some of the best. I also really appreciate your explanations of how the colours work and how to mix different shades for a much better result.

The tip about painting the flowers in first and then putting the background is definitely very helpful. I love your other helpful videos that show us strategies to painting backgrounds. This is a helpful video Michele. Thx as always. 🥰

I always learn so much from your videos. I am an experienced watercolour painter, but need a refresher from time to time. Thank you for all of the basic information you provide. I also use many of your tips when I am trying to help out a beginning painter. Those "beginner sets" can really trip you up if you aren't careful.😁

Thank you so much for such a precise explanation! I loved all the tips! I liked the purple mixing one. I always wondered why in elementary school my red-blue mix looked more like mud and nothing close to purple. But i loved all your tips ❤

Great video. I’ve watched it a few times then, painted along too but couldn’t mix a “ ghost “ leaf colour, Mine were various green shades, I have paynes grey but wanted to mix the colour you suggest. The purples & all other exercises were good. Thanks.

For the ghost leaves sometimes just adding more blue and more water to the leaf colour you are already using will do the job :-)

This video is so helpful! Thank you! I took notes so as to remember your tips while painting. You mentioned certain colors for landscapes, certain colors for flowers. So I would like to make separate pallettes. Do you have these pallette colors listed somewhere? I'm anxious for your new flower course!
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber8 ай бұрын
Glad it was helpful! Many colours cross over so I don't tend to keep them separate. Cerulean blue for example is useful for flowers and landscapes. I have three paint sets on Jackmans Art Materials UK website. The first is a split primary basics set, then I have a floral set, and a shadow set. If you click on them you will see the pigments used. (link in description). Flower course is due to launch Wedsday 29 May 2024 (providing I don't sleep or eat in the meantime, deadlines lol) and there will also be two free KZbin videos next week.

I was given a botanical workbook for Mothers Day. Every colour mix includes white and I don’t like the look. Very disappointing. I might try the mixes leaving out the white.
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber8 ай бұрын
White is often used in other media but less so in watercolors :-)
