I'm lead consume, blast last, and my boss is a consume last INTJ. He does exactly this - he always interrupts me during my slide presentations to ask questions and to think out loud, repeating some of the things I present back to the room as if they were profound realizations of his own. He then asks questions that I ALWAYS have slides prepared for later in the slide deck of the presentation, it's just that he never lets me get there organically before feeling the need to ask.

So Ni is calm bc it can shove all the chaos that he can't control into the garage.

It's very comforting to see a couple more psychos. I feel so seen and understood. I'm not alone 😂 The Blast last description was very helpful in this clip. I think I do this because, yes, I'm inputting data into my mind files, and it's very distracting, and yet I want the other to know I'm still connecting and following their story. So I summarize and regurgitate it like a cat bringing a trophy to its friend to show affection. And I'm doing it in this post again! I feel seen. Thank you!

That burning inside feeling... I soooo get that! This is why I have to have something to do with my hands (usually knitting or crocheting) if I know I'm going to have to sit and listen to a long, not-very-engaging talk/presentation. I'll be squirming in my seat otherwise. I also find that if I"m reading a really good article or book and I hit a section that needs sorting/processing, I sometimes have to put the article down for awhile until my brain's had enough time to do the processing. Then I can go back to it. I can't just keep taking the information in if I wasn't able to neatly sort it into its proper box as it entered my brain.

As fiSi, sleep first, visual, infp, I do all sorts of looking around while listening and thinking...people feel offended that I'm "not" paying attention by looking straight at them...but I'm organizing my thoughts.

I'm so glad you said you struggle to visualise, as I'm very sure I'm lead Ni but had this assumption that I should be able to visualise. The conception of "this is a heavy point" resonated, yes, I process like that too - this information is pertinent, the rest is fluff and is immediately discarded.

Ye, as an Ni/Ti guy, I’ve always tried to find the best mindset to deal with the chaos. Should I always be emotionless or rather motivated or just stop caring altogether? My Ni resolution has been that I just have to man up: life will always throw some bs your way, you just got to handle it as a man. My type’s fear is that I can’t get things working as they should (NT Sleep fails) and so the tribe starts valuing me less. But now I realize that the only respectable way to lose is to go down swinging, and that’s given me some inner peace. Not easy being f-Ni and SC though because I’m always forgetting and reverifying this worldview. Forgive the monologue as well, I have enough Fe to know no one really cares, but hopefully someone else finds it interesting too.

Man, I have been processing how sleep last and consume last can get into the same kind of life issues. At work, I don't have to worry about being distracted by le smart phone, but I will be calling a client and opening their account and I will want to understand everything that might be going on with that account's history, beyond the usefulness of the call. I won't want to blast the call until I consume all the info on the client's account. It is this insane, stalker like addiction to just knowing everything that might be going on before doing the work. So people from far away just see a distracted idiot and can't tell the different from some consume last and myself, but we are distracted by very different things.

I don't think I am a lead blast (in fast it is probably last), but I will often notice myself doing the "shifting eyes" when someone is lecturing or spewing at me and I am trying to distribute the meaning of what they are saying. I am unsure whether it is the process or being talked at, but I almost always get a headache when this happens. I do often feel the desire to make things concise, but more often I do not finish the process or establish a category so then everything ends up jumbled and chaotic. I think I will try talking it out instead of waiting to respond until I have it all worked out in my head or on paper (my usual approach), then maybe I won't get a headache.

@@Brickwilliams not every suggestion to look into something is turning everything into a medical condition, gee. If I recommend you to watch a movie it doesn't mean I sit you on a chair, tie you to it and force you to watch it.
@Brickwilliams
@Brickwilliams Жыл бұрын
@@einsame_Maria you’re suggesting to look into a medical condition that probably doesn’t need to be a medical condition. it is in our institutions plans to make us feel medically inclined, mentally ill, etc. same reason why they diagnose anxiety as a mental illness and anyone who tells a doctor they have anxiety, which we all do, will be labeled with a mental illness and given drugs. So just know what you’re doing when you suggest that someone is medically inclined, because they probably aren’t
@einsame_Maria
@einsame_Maria Жыл бұрын
@@Brickwilliams looking into something is not automatically being diagnosed. Do you think maybe you're being a tad bit paranoid? Not all anxiety is treated with medication, but some has to be because it's debilitating and prevents people from living their life to the fullest. To me, it seems that you might have deep rooted stigma against mental illnesses and conditions. It doesn't have to be like this. You really jumped from "hey, have you heard about this condition?" To "dave, I know you have it and you have to be treated!!!" Whatever it is you saw in my comment wasn't in it, if it makes you feel better
