Ive been working on making a western fashion dictionary and didn't expect Buster Brown to come up. He has three different aspects of fashion named after him, shoes, haircut, and that kind of outfit he wears are all named Buster Brown! The only other person i can think of with that many is Anthony Van Dyck, the real life artist, who has a facial hair style, a collar, and trim named after him.

As a fan of old newspaper comics, I loved that Drawfee discovered Buster Brown. He wasn't from the 1930s as Jacob said, but more like the 1900s. He was the first comic character to be heavily licensed, and his face and name were put on almost everything you can imagine. He was even licensed by a shoe company, for them to make Buster Brown shoes, a style of shoes for boys. They also made a style of shoes named after Buster's "girlfriend" Mary Jane. They were originally unisex, but became more popular with girls over the years, and the name Mary Janes eventually became synonymous with that style of shoe and became disconnected from the brand. So maybe not many people know Buster Brown anymore, but Mary Jane sure had some staying power.

I've been a Drawfee fan for years, but never watched the streams due to time... Got into SSS around the time of Julia Souls, but my main job as Mom means I'm 99% a vod watcher (with subtitles, while cooking, lmao) Gotta say... from the SSS Bloodborne episode to this, I am *reeling* because my mom and grandmother used to sing me the Buster Brown Shoes jingle to me as a kid, and they (and I!) also did so for my kids... I don't have the slightest idea why, but it really is the best diaper changing song! I know the whole ding dang thing by heart, and have the cutest video where I ask my oldest child (at the time about 2.5 years old) what a "telephone book" was, and got a response that was basically the inverse - a phone app that would bring up any book you wanted to read! Anyway, thank you for the surreal realization that BB is *way* more than just a shoe mascot, because I had NO idea. I love you all and this one in particular was a delight to watch. I'm going to have to watch more Drawfee stream vods in the future!
