Baby Bowser is Bowser as a baby. Bowser Jr. is Bowser's son. Koopa Kids are generic little dudes who work for Bowser sometimes in spinoffs
@johnplaysgames312011 ай бұрын
I just watched a video breaking this down recently and they mentioned that the Koopa Kids were originally introduced as Bowser's children but later, when Bowser Jr. was referred to as "Bowser's only child," they had to ret-con the Koopa Kids into just henchman to make sense of the loosey-goosey lore drops.

I'm so annoyed I couldn't be at this stream now because as a British person of the appropriate age, I know SO MUCH about S Club 7. Some things Julia missed: - S Club 7 are currently 5 members known just as S Club because Paul died and Hannah (Paul's ex) left due to grief. The Good Times tour is named that in Paul's honour. - Paul initially left prior to their first break-up to form a nu-metal band. I also saw him as Dr Scott in The Rocky Horror Show once. - They had four TV shows and a movie, starting with Miami 7. In LA 7, they all shared a flat with Regan from The Exorcist. - S Club 3 were just Jo, Bradley and Tina performing at universities. - S Club Juniors were formed out of a bunch of pre-teens for a TV show called S Club Search and became S Club 8 when they aged up a bit. They were only supposed to exist to tour with S Club 7 but then they released some bangers. Two members were later in a girl group called The Saturdays. One of their members is currently the understudy for Hamilton and Lafayette in London, and another co-owns a record label with Bryan Cranston. Wild. - I met Hannah at a convention as she's now an actress and she's lovely. - The S in S Club 7 stands for Simon. No, really.

As far as I remember, S Club Juniors were going to be 7 members but all the auditionees were cute kids so they ended up just letting nine of them into the band. One left super early on though. There is a pretty inherent problem with naming your band after the number of members - I remember as a kid going to a 5ive concert with only three members left.

S Club 2 and S Club 3 in the US were originally released as S Club 4 and S Club 6 in Japan. When S Club 7 was being released they changed back to the original numbering scheme and confused a lot of US fans who thought they missed S Club 4, S Club 5, and S Club 6, but had really missed S Club 2, S Club 3, and S Club 5 which were skipped over entirely until they released as part of S Club Chronicles, S Club Origins, and S Club 3 remake years later.

Senior Cartgage! EDIT: Astarion was the birth name of the Minotaur. "Minotaur" is a portmanteau of "Minos" and "taurus" because he was Minos's bull, being the offspring of Pasiphae (Minos's wife) and a bull that Minos was supposed to sacrifice to Poseidon but didn't because he liked it too much, so Poseidon punished Minos by cursing Pasiphae with zoophilia (because the gods are awful and will punish you by harming your loved ones.)

Gotta say I was NOT expecting them to reference one of my favourite poems ever at 51:22 like WOW Here is the whole thing if anyone's interested, it's by Gerard Manley Hopkins: - As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame; As tumbled over rim in roundy wells Stones ring; like each tucked string tells, each hung bell's Bow swung finds tongue to fling out broad its name; Each mortal thing does one thing and the same: Deals out that being indoors each one dwells; Selves - goes itself; myself it speaks and spells, Crying Whát I dó is me: for that I came. I say móre: the just man justices; Keeps grace: thát keeps all his goings graces; Acts in God's eye what in God's eye he is - Chríst - for Christ plays in ten thousand places, Lovely in limbs, and lovely in eyes not his To the Father through the features of men's faces. - I'm not even religious but I like this poem so much, especially the first half, I even learned it by heart. Also fun fact, Hopkins was both a poet and a priest, and he was very conflicted about that so he'd often burn his own poems because he felt that writing poetry was against his faith lol. Julia reading out that last part of the poem REALLY surprised me in a fun way!!

"Eeuugh! 🥴 Time for drawfee" at 0:00 ...ignoring that beginning... The way others treat you is not a reflection of you. Sometimes people are just shitty without reason. Yeah, it still hurts, but just know that their cruel behavior has nothing to do with you. Sometimes, it's just shitty and that's all. ❤
@johnplaysgames312011 ай бұрын
People's shittiness is usually a defense mechanism. They've learned to strike first because they're afraid of being struck. Preemptive shittiness. They're like little dogs growling at you because they're scared and they're trying to appear tough. Then, they do it for so long it becomes a kneejerk reaction that they don't even understand themselves and would struggle HARD to change if they did. All they know is that they're unhappy and that leads to more lashing out. That doesn't mean we need to entertain, excuse, or accept it - and we def shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking we can change it - but knowing that they're projecting their own feelings about themselves into the world around them can help us to not take it personally when it gets projected at us. And then, of course, there are the sociopaths... but that's a whole 'nother issue.
