What an unusual landscape at the beginning of the video, especially a large tree. Yes, it seems a refreshing swim under the waterfall. Very good that you avoided a dangerous fall of stones. 👍 You have a greeting from the two of us.💕💕

Another great walk and nice flat start before the hard work starts and the descent later on in the afternoon. Loved the cave and that looked a narrow path to walk on, certain death in deed on the other side. That was a canny drop on that waterfall and I bet that was cold mind lol but well done on you both for getting in. I bet it was refreshing mind and that view through the valley was amazing and learning from 'little incidents' is always t good call! Cheers Alan

Hi Alan!😊👋 thanks so much for watching and for your great comment as always. We think this was one of our favourite hikes we have done, so much to see along the way, and the waterfall was just stunning, it was indeed cold but a wonderful experience🥰. The caves were fun and different to walk through. And yes you are right, its good to learn some lessons from the near misses!😆. Hope you are having a great week, take care, Shell and Pete👋

Some great places there, that waterfall looked incredible. Cave / tunnel looked interesting too, I have not been in a proper cave for a very long time. glad the rock fall was just a near miss!

I think the waterfall was one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. So much to love about Madeira🥰 (apart from the rock fall!😳😆). The caves were great fun too. Thanks for watching Ryan, hope you have a great week😊👍

Just discovered you from FX wales. I went to Madeira too many years ago, when only analogue video camera's where about 🤣, but I remember how beautiful it was and very necky levada walks. Seeing this is amazing, I've got to go back, (not sure I've still got the nerve for some of the levada walks) New fan here, and I look forward to starting at the beginning of your trip, and exploring the rest of your channel, all the best Ivor.

Hi Ivor, and welcome to our channel👋. We are so glad you enjoyed our video and it brought back memories for you of the beautiful island of Madeira🥰. We visited Madeira for the first time last year and we both fell in love with the island, such a stunning place with out of this world walks. I'm so glad we inspired you to go back😊. Thank you so much for subscribing, we have subscribed back to your channel and will look forward to checking out your videos. Have a wonderful weekend, Shell and Pete😊👍

Hey there😊👋. Yes the rock fall was a very close call on this one! And did shake us up a bit! But otherwise we had such an amazing day, the scenery is just incredible in Madeira, if you ever get the chance to visit we can highly recommend it!🥰. We fell in love with the island and it really is a hikers paradise! Thank you so much for watching we really appreciate it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care, Shell and Pete

Seemingly every part of Madeira is just stunning! 3:35 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oooh caves! Everyone loves a good cave... I actually have some caves featuring in my next video but not a patch on these ones. Wet feet or certain death, hmmm let me think haha. Glad you went for as swim, I would of had to get in there too... imagine someone nicked your clothes at that point and having to do that walk back in your swimming cozzy! Definite Jurassic Park vibes on this one!!! Shame there was no water at the Devils Cauldron but it's not as if you didn't get any others. That rock coming down, I can totally understand why it shook you up, I've had similar things happen to me in the past but probably not that bad... leaves you shook up for a good while afterwards and makes one hell of a noise. This series never fails to excite and impress. Great job guys.

Thanks so much for your fab comment Gez😊🙏. Haha we are very happy someone didn't steal our clothes while we were in the plunge pool, as it was flipping freezing in there!🤣. We loved everything about this hike (apart from the rock falling😳). We would have to agree that every part of Madeira is stunning, we just loved it there, and plan to go back next year as there are hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails we have yet to explore. So glad you have enjoyed this series, its really nice for us to share such a gorgeous place and have memories of a fantastic holiday to look back on. We only have one more video left of Madeira now, and then it's back to some UK adventures😊👍. We will look forward to checking out your caves in your next one😊. Have a great week, Shell and Pete👋

Omg this really does remind me of Jurassic Park, watch out for this ones that make you think they are cute, then they deploy spitting head dress mode 😂 I bet you weren't as cold as I am right now, we've had to move house and there's no heating cos we're waiting on an oil delivery!! This is the one thing I hate about living in rural areas 😂 so I'm laid here in 50 layers wishing for the actual sun to be in my room 😂 Great vid and beautiful scenery
@o.bsoutdoors38713 жыл бұрын
Ah no way!!! We can feel the cold from here!🥶 . We hope you manage to get the heating on soon!🤞. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. We live in the city and dream of living in a rural area. Thanks so much for watching Dee, we really appreciate it and so glad you enjoyed it. Totally agree with you on the jurassic Park vibe! It was crazy being there, i kept expecting to see a dinosaur walk around the corner!🦕🥰. Hope you guys get things sorted in your new home soon, i would say happy house warming but...😆. Take care Shell and Pete

good video ..but i think lost the point to go to the hell cauldron ..was steps in your right and you can go till the top and go under waterfall as you go straight in tunels and amazing beautiful views,,, but dangers options? go to the tunel 2km and from there straigth down in road made in hard soil till reach fanja da nogueira,but is so far away obvious need arrive to get you in the road das cruzinhas ,,better if you know someone to guide you there ,,its lots thing can happen ,one to be lost thank you for your video
@o.bsoutdoors38719 ай бұрын
Hi There, Thank you for your insight friend, it is appreciated, and something we will take on board if we are ever lucky enough to do this hike again in future in beautiful Madeira 😊❤. We had understood at the time that fanja da nogueira was closed, so good to know this is possible 👍 All the best to you Shell and Pete

The Calderon from Hell in your video is dry, because you were there in summer. In Autum/Winter it becomes feel with water.... more sometimes than Green Calderon. Sometimes it makes impossible to proceed to the end
