I humbly present my #Cover of #InThisMoment 's Into the Light as a tribute to my best friend.It's been 1 year since my beloved Gizmo's passing. Last year I simply couldn't bring myself to honor him creatively. The grief was overwhelming. In retrospect, that was the worst day of my life but it was also extremely beautiful in many ways that I'll always hold dear. This record has perfectly captured the spectrum of grief, trauma, and pain of that day, but most importantly, the beauty and joy of Gizmo's life in its entirety. I have always wanted to cover #IntotheLight and I think anyone that's experienced loss of any kind can find healing through this song. And I hope it can serve you as it has served me. I'll miss you forever, my boy. I love you. Until we meet again 🤍

This is so beautiful. Your voice sounds like an Angel . I'm so very sorry for your loss of your baby Gizmo. When I heard this, I fell apart. It wasn't a pet that I lost but my only brother almost 5 years ago. To be in the room with him when we said our last goodbyes is a moment I will never forget. Yes, I too stared I to his eyes. His beautiful blue eyes. The doctor told me there was nothing they could do. He was only 47. He never drank or smoked, just over worked. I miss him every day of my life and I DO thank him for every second of his. You will see your precious Gizmo again. I truly believe this as I will see my brother. I've had this song on my "watch later" list for a few months, because I had a feeling it might break me. I had my own furry Soulmate for 20yrs and a couple years ago I had to make the decision to let her go because I could tell she was in so much pain. I found this 3 weeks ago, first of many of Corvyx that hooked me. Felt the soul he was giving to the song. I thought about how I'd feel when it came to having to say goodbye to our dear Scout as she was 16 and getting on. I am an ITM fan, and this song means a lot to me. It helped me get through the hardest time of my life. Last year i lost my six cat babies in fire. It crippled me, tore me apart. @@CORVYX I rescued her when I was 10 years old. Someone thought bricking a kitten into the side of a house was funny (more like sick) and I heard her crying and got her out. When I told my parents how I found her they couldn't bring themselves to tell me I couldn't keep her and she was with me until I was 27. I like to think I gave her a good long life. Pets truly become family and your family always feels a little smaller without them. I'm sorry for your loss as well.

It is far too overwhelming at the time to honour those beautiful friends who move on, while we remain... You did your lovely dog proud with this beautiful cover. The emotion in these vocals is just there. Vulnerability such as grief in creative works such as singing for example gives the song much more power. I and some friends made a song for my friend. I loved him with everything, like you too, I was torn apart when he left. But somehow some of the pain eased a little when the song was finished.

Oh love, the loss of you beloved pet is a devastating heartbreak. I can't promise the pain goes away, but it does get a little easier. I lost my beloved therapy dog and best fried and soul mate that literally saved my life 2 years ago now, and I'm still lost without him. He was 14. I have pictures, blankets, lights, jewellery and a tattoo with name on so he is never far from me lol. This song had me in tears but what a tribute to Gizmo xx
