I cringe when someone covers one of the greatest songs ever written as a vocal exercise to show off instead of as a song. He definitely has a technically proficient voice, but still about the least captivating cover of this song I've ever heard. It's totally devoid of everything that makes this song so epic. Hint, it's not the vocal range. For a much better version I would recommend the One Voice Children's Choir who really kicked ass on it.

I've always loved this song and it's been one of my favorite Evanescence songs since 2002. It took on a whole different meaning when my Mom passed almost 2 years ago, who I loved dearly and had a complicated relationship with (gimme one margarita and I'll trauma dump all about it) I knew I was going to cry and I did, but I needed to. I'd been bottling up and ignoring and rationalizing so much this just kind of tore down the barrier and I got so much of what I was holding in for the last couple of years out. Thank you.
