However, this once unspoiled oasis is now under siege due to increasing pressure from human activity. From National Geographic Documentary Films, Into the Okavango chronicles a team of modern-day explorers on their first epic four-month, 1,500-mile expedition across three countries to save the river system that feeds the Okavango Delta, one of our planet’s last wetland wildernesses.

I just watched the last 30 minutes of this and it's beautiful.❤ I'm a 21 year old citizen of Botswana and it's sad my peers and I didn't get an in-depth knowledge of what is going on in the Okavango and how the Angola war influenced the species of the Okavango.

I watched the full episode and believe me OKAWANGO could be the most beautiful place on earth. All those countries needs to take measures to save its existence else its gone soon.

It isn't just those countries, but every country. What we do in one area affects the entire world. Look at the pollution put out by China and India, and it is now invading California. Smog from Asia is now in L.A. and it is the worst it has ever been. The plastic pollution in Indonesia affects the world's oceans and waterways. We all need to stop pollution and using fossil fuels. They are heating this earth, causing drought and polluting the water, land and soil everywhere. There is no longer unpolluted (clean/pure) rainwater anywhere on Earth. That is a shame, because that means, all of these bodies of freshwater is not healthy for anything to live off of.
