Hey Darren. I very much enjoy your series (Anno, Stellaris, watched all episodes). And this as well (that's the reason why i bought this game in first place). But with this episode, i really couldn't believe what you were doing with Tiqqun and Francis. 1. You can ALWAYS press X while doing POI with your science ship. It can't move, but you don't have to make a decision you don't want for now. (You wanted alloys to build a base on Mack R, but couldn't send a ship because of moving through storm and you stuck there. You can ALWAYS wait with your decisions, just press X. (Better remember that in next chapter.) 2. Why moving Tiqqun through storm? You can go to Rokatansky D79 (cuz it's still there), and then to Chevy 34. You said about this road, when you wanna go back from Chevy to Deville. Why not take it back and forth? Way less micro managment with your mining and cargo ship and way less stress for you. Still love your videos nevertheless.

The moment you went to get the Glooscap in the middle of the storm was so epic I was having goosebumps. The outcome though was such an anticlimax. This could have made a great movie plot.

I think the crew of the francis died at the rockatansky event, the crew that came back was the others right? So u did technically lose the original crew?

Great series! I think the crew died during that as they said they were low on power and all just trying to stay alive. Maybe there was a hidden timer since it took a while for your cargo ship to make it over there. Anyways great series! This and satisfactory lets play hooked me on your channel. I think they died because the cargo ship wasn't carrying any alloys. The notification said the needed 5.

I think whe game gave you new technology, it gave you ability to research technology that wasn't available before.

OK, so food-wise the rule of thumb is 1 food / cycle is 50 crew - that's the production of the bug farms and a single farm plot without upgrades. So 9*1.2*50=540 / farm, so you're good for another 200 people or so. Don't forget you can get them to ration food in exchange for a pip of morale with the DLS centre if you feel you're in a bind later. Also look at the mess hall upgrades. Oh maaan.

Yeah, that's kinda unfair, you should have been able to keep the science ship - although I suspect you'd need the repatriation upgrade for that to work. Still the crew should have been there to be picked up, that seems like a genuine bug.

Well the event heading did say loss of the Francis (which is true, the ship was lost). Personally would not cross that storm YET AGAIN and just concentrate on the by now large amount of resource nodes your probes have uncovered... The small amount on the outside on that storm doesn't seem worth it to me... P.S. From what I can work out if a cargo ship has collected something it will not collect anything else until it has brought its current cargo back. Because that ship collected resources before interrupted for the mercy mission it could not be diverted hence the return trip to the Tiqqun.

The cargo ship didn't have permission to pick up crew.

I thought that might be the case, but nope, just a bug. Turns out the cargo ship isn't picking people up, but just lending its fuel to help the science ship get restarted. Just a bug, on reload without changing anything it worked fine.

I think avoiding sending ships through the storm is a mistake, why get the upgrades to make storm travel safe(r) if you are going to doom everyone aboard the tiqqun anyway. As a loyal non-worker aboard the tiqqun I believe the risk of 1 ship and a few crew is of better value that the risk of us all and what we now call home

We’re all in this together. No crew left behind! Our ship can take the hits dammit, but their ship would be gobbled up! It’s like a big freighter risking a storm to save a lifeboat. They both could make it or not, but they stand a better chance with us!

Hey, i like your episodes. But there is almost too much to watch. Have you thought of spacing out the episode releases a few days (when the inital viewship starts to drop) to allow viewers to catch up to the new episodes? I am only one person though, so i might be in the minority, but wanted to share my thoughts just incase it helps you.

Typically I’m aiming to have a video every day, but not all from the same game. Right now I do Anno, Satisfactory and Ixion, but as Ixion requires no “planning” like the other series its quicker to produce. I generally see that if I put videos out faster they do better. And funnily enough I have many people asking for more at a faster pace. I understand that people can feel somewhat left behind though, especially if they want to comment and have a say in something. I’m afraid that that is more of the minority, because even if you get outpaced, you can always catch-up at your leisure. But if you want more and there isnt any, those people seem to move on more permanently. Hopefully this gives you some insight into my thoughts with it.

lol, that's like telling a pen-pal to write slowly because you can't read very fast. So no, you are not in the minority, you are the minority and that kind of egocentric nonsense doesn't help any content creator unless their goal is to loose subs.
