Asking for a draw makes sense even if it's just because neither player thinks they can successfully attack. If each player thinks they can only win by defending, they would both prefer to draw rather than wait for an attack that's never coming.

Game 1 gave me an idea for an episode of a web series that does not yet exist called StarCraft 2 chronicles. The Protoss are dead, and the Terrans and Zerg have been locked in a war of attrition for decades. Neither race can break the stalemate of generations of warfare. The victor merely becomes the Stewart of the resource-drained star systems, and mutual destruction is all but assured no matter the outcome.

This match convinced me that mutas should cost 85/85. That means that you spend 1,020/1,020 for 12 mutas instead of 1000/1000 for 10. Makes using them (and losing them) less of an "all-in" style risk.

After watching starcraft for decades, I'm convinced that the workers are the most important VIP units of the game. They should cost 500/500 and take 5 supply, and there should be no free workers in the beginning.
@EncryptedLiberty7 ай бұрын
@@trstnhn I forgot that most RTS players are so bitter and self-consumed that balance discussions are basically impossible. Mutas are a unit that are almost never used, and when they are used it feels like gambling. Reducing their cost would a completely appropriate way to make this unit more usable, thereby increasing the variety in the game. Or we could just reduce the damage of every Zerg unit by one so you could win all your games. That would be fun, right?
