Impressed by your driving skills through the trees I was tucking my elbows in. Thankful that your boss escaped with only a scratch. I must admit to holding my breath once or twice. It looked a bit sticky around the standing water. The scope on the gun remained pretty true when you checked it. Good video this week, enjoyed it. Thanks.

Scrubbers and forestry land is always hard work, my cousins and I used to do a lot of mustering in forestry's using horses. We would go through at least 2-3 horses a day because it was so hard on them, and you always felt it at the end of the day.

Hi Josh, another good video to watch, thank you. Wearing my H&S Jobs-worth Hat (again) I have often thought to myself that if that were me out there riding that Bike, I would be wearing a Motorcyclist's Crash Helmet. The Terrain looked particularly dangerous, with the puddles and fallen trees all over.
@intothenight1993
@intothenight1993 14 күн бұрын
@@gp3829 I have worn them a bit but I find for mustering they block too much of your vision. You just have to ride to the conditions and remember if you don’t feel comfortable going fast then don’t. It’s better to let the cattle beat you than have an accident.

Gee at the start of the video Josh it was very damp in that paddock. Have to agree with you about having a couple of dogs when they we’re playing silly buggers and hiding in the scrub. Thanks for the video. Amazing that the sights weren’t out too much on the rifle considering the treatment it got on the quad 😅

Thanks for sharing another eventful day at the office Josh. I hope they didn't cut too dark. I hope the young fella bought a Lotto ticket after that because a few years ago one of Australia's best Paralympic shooters wasn't so lucky when he rolled his quad bike while mustering cattle.

@intothenight1993
@intothenight1993 14 күн бұрын
@@petelumley1578 it’s not too bad. The bikes have electric power steering and I ride with my arms and legs bent to allow the bike to move under me without knocking me around too much. It is very mentally and physically draining though as you have to be extremely switched on to be about to be reading the cattle to put yourself in the right place but as well as be constantly watching the ground and planning a safe path through and around obstacles. Definitely takes a lot of practice and experience makes you better at it. But I’ve been mustering here on quads for 13 years. And when you know a paddock well and where you can and can’t ride it makes it a lot easier😂

The are very dangerous. I know of a few that have snapped their neck from ducking under trees and forgetting the bar is there. Have rolled one twice because of the bar one here on our farm. The ring ones are a bit better though.
