Both popping off feels so good, the strength of his nen and how it's animated brings validation to the feelings behind the voice acting❤️

When I was growing up I ended up holding a lot of feelings and wanting to just explode, I could relate a lot with Gon and seeing this scene again after some time I got some tears too haha. The voice acting, the animation, the direction, the ost, Killua, Pitou, Komugi, the whole build up to this, it's just pure masterpiece for me, amazing amazing! When I watched this episode in 2014 I was in pure shock and couldn't believe what I just saw.

Yeah this episode hits different. That happy child suddenly finds himself in a horrible place and the moment he thinks he's in a spot to release his emotions and finally deal with his problem.... poof. Nothing happens as expected and all those emotions just... lash out. It just feels like there nothing he can do to solve his problem anymore, not the way he usually could. This arc really is a roller coaster of emotions
@beatrizortega1712 Жыл бұрын
I love that you get the real vibe here. Gon is not a monster, the idea is to show two different sides of a situation, a person, a feeling... and being a child having to deal with such complex emotions, while his rage battles with his natural empathy, completely messed with him. I wish more people would read into him better.

thank you, i really appreciate you opening up and its very hard to being vulnerable. you both kinda motivated me. that's how i felt too during this episode, i really love hunterXhunter because it's so real in emotions.

It's actually a surprise to see you 2 getting emotional by Gon's words, since the 2011 adaptation simply removed the Kite introduction in the first episode with a even more younger Gon, and with that many people won't understand why Gon cares so much about Kite
@leandrodiaz5433 Жыл бұрын
i mean the voice acting really does the job
@emperortime4907 Жыл бұрын
@@leandrodiaz5433 yeah voice acting plays a big part but its also the overall writing of togashi, the build-up, the dialogue You dont really need Kite introduced at the beginning to get emotional during 116

Yea basically what everyone else was saying. The VA was amazing and the scene just hurts to watch. Not to mention Ash instantly felt that Kite was her favorite when he was introduced and always loved him!

Glad that you guys opened up, you are brave. We discussed Gon and Killua but let's discuss the situation Pitou is in. Her dedication towards King to save the person whom she never even interacted with, is just incredible. And her situation is so difficult like she is ready do anything but not at the moment. But Gon is just after her to fight now. She is literally begging for him to wait. And if it is not for the situation, she is powerful enough to fight Gon and defeat him at the moment.

This arc really just... its so incredibly dark. Like people don't believe it when we say it gets dark. But it gets dark. Its funny if you go back and listen to the OST of hunter X Hunter, the tone of the music is so stark between the first arc and the chimera ant arc. Its like day and night.

After doing some research and translation, when Gon said “Kankei nai Kara”, he wasn’t criticizing Killua for not caring about the situation. It was more of Gon angrily brushing him off saying “Dude, the reason why you’re so calm is because you weren’t as close to Kite as I was, this shit has nothing to do with you, so stay out of it!”
