I looked at a boat there as well, her name was Ray. USS Ray that is. SSN 653 way back in the day. Spent 4 years on her. Charleston used to be full of old world charm, I hear its grown tremendously. Not sure if the navy is still there, I know they melted all the subs down into paper clips. After the hurricane washed the town clean they came back and rebuilt the town into quite a town. Would be worth touring for sure. I sure miss heading out past buoy 2 Charlie looking for deep water.

Really? You like us at least 3 times as much as La Delos? ;) We do motor sail quite a bit, whenever the wind and the narrow river, canals, and creeks allow for som sail action. There's very few places to ONLY sail on the ICW, and when you are in one of those few places, it always seems like the wind isn't cooperating. Alas - more sailing to com for sure.

My first of your vids, but I'm looking forward to watching more now. I'm a Charleston native and my only complaint was your pronunciation of Wappoo. it's "Wah Poo" and it separates West Ashley from James Island. The high bridge is the James Island Connector and the low ones are the Memorial bridges and they are draw bridges, as well. if you come back through go see the Morris Island lighthouse, as it is completely out to sea at high tide. Morris Island connects to Folly Beach, where the real beach is.

Maybe they got the anchor snags from the sunken boats right where you were on the map all raised and removed.
