Thanks for the discount code! Put the Intrepid on my Jeep Wrangler JL. I'm Liking the tent after several nights in it, im 6'2" and have plenty of room. I got the storage bag and net. The storage bag is useless since it sags down on my head if you put anything in it. The net is useful to hang my fan off of. Thru the storage bag in the barn. The ladder is nice. Got the IKamper shoe bag for my ladder and shoes. LOL that's funny, no Intrepid ladder bag so now I can advertise for IKamper too. Doesn't bother me. For the mattress I just put my queen size 3" memory foam Zenbivy mattress in it so I can't say if Intrepid mattress is any good or not. My Zenbivy is excellent mattress. I just suck the air out of it before closing the tent and reinflate when opened to camp. Guess this winter I'll find out if the diesel heater hose stays put zipped thru the door. Thanks again for the 10% discount code Matt nice video review

Thanks for the great review, convinced me! The price is lower than you mentioned, and with the discount code you provide, significantly lower. Between your review and Venture2Roams, I decided this is the tent for my Gladiator. Thanks again.

My favorite part of these is that they are made in their own factory in Vietnam. Does increase the cost but helps them stand out from a lot of other companies. Can't wait for mine when they release the 2025. I do wish they would include some accessories for the price, at least the boot bag. Thanks for the great review!

You nailed my biggest gripes with this tent. The price and the fact that it comes with no extras and you have to buy them on top of the large price tag. That said I would love a 3.0 on our truck haha.

Holy heck Batman. Looks nice. Being 6’5 365lbs I use the OVS nomadic 2 extended for my RTT. I can’t put it on my Jeep anymore due to my shoulders and I can’t pull into my garage with it on my Jeep. But I think the price is too expensive for my wallet. Wishing you and the Mrs the very best. Like always, love your vids.

I say check out the new GFC V2 Pro camper. They've fixed most of the issues. Plus you get to hang out in the bed and stand up in the bed. That's what i should have bought instead of my Xtrusion Overland with a Colorado4x4 wedge RYT. Or get another SuperPacific.
@OzarkOverlandAdventures4 ай бұрын
That's a Super Pacific on the new Gladiator. It's Explore Elevated. There's pros and cons to both setups and I'd rather have the space in this tent than a topper with a wedge tent on it.

Trying to decide between this tent and an iKamper 3.0 like you had for my Cybertruck, what made you prefer this over the iKamper 3.0?
@OzarkOverlandAdventures2 ай бұрын
The iKamper 3.0 is much taller and heavier. The question is do you need a full size bed or a king size bed.

Do you find the lack of diesel heater ports to be an issue? I figured the work around would be running ducting through a zipper door and it would be secured that way. Also, do you know the mattress dimensions? I'll probably buy a Hest for this.
@OzarkOverlandAdventures18 күн бұрын
Honestly, no. Most companies put the ports in the bottom of the foot area and I think that's a horrible place for them because they can easily get blocked by blankets. I just zip the hose up in a window and it works great!!
@ohnodevo4 ай бұрын
Matt, do you know if Intrepid has optional insulation panels like iKamper for severe cold weather or would you rate this tent to basically be a 3 season tent?
@OzarkOverlandAdventures4 ай бұрын
not that I know of. With a diesel heater I stay in this tent year round. I had a tent with insulation and I quit using it once I got a diesel heater.

i noticed the over hang on the rear, (looks like you centered it to the bed rack), you have a full hight bed rack. My iKamper is on a 3/4 hight rack which streamlines it behind my Rhino roof top rack. I guess i would need spacers or a whole new bed rack to put the intrepid on my rig ...

Matt over here changing tents more often than I eat food each day. LOL. Tent looks awesome. But what all do you keep doing with all the other tents that you have either been given/sent/etc... because at this point... you either have sold them all off, of you gotta have like...2-3 storage units holding these tents. LOL

This is a great tent! But yeah that price is insane. Unless you are out doing what you are, I can’t see that kinda money. For the price and lack of space in clamshells I can’t see the price of them.
@81selfmade1Ай бұрын
I love the design, but that price with lack of ladder bag, boot bag, included lighting, cross bars, especially given what the extra cost of all things add up to is hard no for me. If all that was included at a starting price of around $3600, I'd say take my money, but outside of your use case Matt which is a highly small number of people I don't see the appeal at that price point. There are nearly as good of tents out there with boot bag, ladder bag, lighting, cross bars, for far cheaper
@macairtuber3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately Intrepid isn't completely honest about the weight of their tent in their marketing. This is taken from their installation manual for the Geo 2.5: Tent: 67.9kg (frame & fabric, excluding all detachables) Condensation mat + Mattress: 7kg, Ladder: 7.5kg. So the frame, fabric, condensation mat and mattress (without attachables - those I assume being the mounts, 4 latches, the handle, the ladder mounts, but maybe includes the 4 gas struts as well or ?) is 165lbs. Including the ladder = 182 lbs without the attachables. The true weight of this tent on your roof is likely 190-195 lbs, not the 155 pounds they advertise. Cool design for sure, but at that weight, $4700 with tax and they don't include the gear loft, cargo net, ladder bag, shoe bag(s) - they can go pound sand. Too bad really - the market/economy won't support the ludicrous price - i suspect they'll be out of business before too long.
@TheChris15004 ай бұрын
i would like if they would put the window screens on outside the window closure, that way i don't have to unzip both to get to the window closure. most cases your just adjusting window closure for air flow. be more hassle free if only had to deal with 1

@@OzarkOverlandAdventures’Someone’ seems to think creating interesting videos and posting to social media practically non-stop isn’t a full time gig and doesn’t deserve financial gain and perks. It definitely looks appealing from the outside, but a person needs the aptitude and fortitude to get it done. Not easy and not something just anyone can do. Enjoy the free and/or heavily discounted gear! We get to watch adventure vids and the occasional gear review…. sounds like a win-win deal to me.

Perks of doing a great job doing videos and sharing adventures to inspire others to give it try. There will always be nay sayers.
