Even almost 4 years later one of the best 'history of BI' and how the tools/processes relate I have seen. Anyone else seeing the management desire to 'start new' / 'reinvent simple' whenever the developed BI solutions appear to have become too complex for them to understand/manage?

Your videos are awesome and still holds valid till date. 👌 What are the future scopes of MDM ? Can ETL take over MDM & DQ?

Looking at this from the volume of data-generated perspective is better than the revenue-generated perspective that's presented.

Neither is ideal actually. There are organizations with massive data sets that can't afford to scale their transformation, and there are huge companies that have small data sets that still fund their data warehouse project because they want consistency. I chose revenue because it had the most consistent pattern of execution in practice.

Agreed, those earlier videos were a bit rough. They should be better now.
