Thank you for that! I just started to rewatch it again. This series got me into reading about Cheyenne culture and history. I can't believe that CBS messed it up and cancelled that show. I miss all the characters so much...

Great video! I actually saw the show all the time in the 90s. I'm now rewatching it on dvd. Still love it. :) I didn't know that Joe Lando almost left the show. I'm glad he didn't.

I watched Dr Quinn when it was on CBS in the 90s…back when TV was high quality…I was crushed when it was cancelled..still watch on reruns…thanks for the fun facts

Beth Sullivan was married to the guy who played Jake Slicker and they had twins Tessa and Jack who both appeared in the meadow scene with Jane’s twin boys for Katie Sully’s first birthday party.

I do not know if you also deal with Canadian TV, but I'm following Murdoch's Mysteries and, despite many differences, I find similarities with Dr. Quinn, takes place in the 800 even if in a city, about 30 years later, female protagonist is a woman doctor who has to challenge many prejudices and is linked to a more traditionalist man. When she gives birth, she is alone with her husband, in a remote place. She too will have an abortion and for this a quarrel with her husband. There are episodes about the moon, the train, the sickness of rabies, episodes in which he or she is imprisioned unjustly etc... Interesting because the 800 was an era of great changes. Manuela

Hey there is 2 movies out of dr quinn. The 1 is called dr quinn medicine woman the movie. This one is were there daughter Katie is kipnapped. Then the 2nd movie is called dr quinn medicine woman the heart within. This one they go back to boston for colleen's graduation and Brian becomes a journalist and dr Quinn's mom dies.

The fall off the cliff we,re done by two double actors. I saw the making of that one scene. And Joe,s hair was real his own not a wig and would use his hands to comb his hair to give it the look he had. They,re still good friends off camera to this day. Joe now has short hair.

Joe and Jane neither one actually jumped off the cliff. They had professional stunt people do it.

I just wished that Jane Seymour and Joe Lando would have really stayed married in real life. They made the best looking couple there ever was I think she is absolutely gorgeous and pristine and I think he is the most handless man I've ever seen. Why they canceled the show well , God only knows.

I used to watch Dr. Quinn and Lonesome Dove on Saturday nights. So much better than the garbage reality shows of today. I wish that they would make more pioneer/westerns. I think that there would still be a huge following for it.

i am fan of tv show i am born same year as shawn the younger cooper kid joe wore wig for two tv moives of dr quinn i can see why joe wasnt happy for sully and not sure if he wanted come back i didnt like how kill of Matthew Cooper 1 love girl he was going to marry

i also think far my opion when comes to sully aka joe i think joe did like some story lines for 5 and 6 i think why he thought about leaving show after 5 i think should done story line for 5 comming back to baston 1 time as married couple for grandma or one aunts birthday and not do story line sully go into hiding i think could have been better story line to save his friendCloud dancing with out risking his freedom and keeping sully family safet hat way could have goten 7 season

I watched the other Dr. Quinn Taylor Treasures episode before this And so I'm not sure which one said the actor for Sully did his own stunts, But knowing that fact made me aghast when you said he was thrown off a cliff Just to "shake things up" and make sure they could handle if he left the show at once... Like... isn't that kinda... dangerous? 😅 I mean, I guess it worked out in the end, Though I'm not sure that's the kind of thing that would help him to come back again. 😂 Too bad the set was burned in the fires, but it's neat y'all visited beforehand So you have many high quality pictures to show of the set that had been grand. 😊 The newscasters in their various attire was such a creative idea to pick! 😂 You know, I feel kinda inspired to just go and record something quick...

It would have been incredibly dangerous for him to jump off the cliff, but we're pretty sure he didn't do that stunt. :) It's definitely sad, but yeah, we're so grateful we got to see it! :) Thank you! I don't think Joe Lando actually jumped off that cliff. I just watched that episode, and we didn't really see him fall. They have their ways of keeping their actors safe. There was no sign of him in the water after that. Not until the first episode of the next season anyway. I went to visit Paramount Ranch about 10 years ago. What a shame it burned down. I hadn't heard about that until just now watching this. It makes me sad. But at least I did get to stand on the porch next to the doctor's office door. It was interesting to see, but kind of depressing. No one was around and none of the set decorations were there, so it looked a little on the bleak side. I wonder if they'll build back that set. With today's filming methods, they could make things even better now and maybe even more comfortable for the actors. The buildings had gone up decades before.

Thanks for stopping by Wendy! :D Yeah we think you're right. We doubt that they would have let him jump that high up. We're glad they keep the actors safe while filming! It's such a shame it burned down, but we're so glad you got to see it before the fires happened! It was a beautiful place with incredibly neat sets. We've heard they are planning to rebuild the western sets in Paramount Ranch, starting in 2022 or 2023, which makes us very happy!
