In the original, my favorite part about Nami is that you could actually woo her faster by just giving her food period, didnt matter the kind or quality. If you cooked for her she would eat it herself, but if you gave her a crop she would give it to ruby, and she would tell you, depending on the quality, how much everyone enjoyed it

I like Gordy's line about the rust being apart of the art process. I think they will change each characters likes a little bit probably to expand on them. Maybe include some of the hybrid crops or something.

In the original games you couldn’t grow hybrid crops in chapter one though. The only way to gift them that early was through cheatcodes (which I typically used, since for me the original games were more fun if I didn’t have to constantly be worrying about food or having enough money to fertilize my pasture and raise crops (since it was NOT Worth It normally; it’s just a constant drain), or get the buildings and full barn when my character would Hopefully have the best chance at influencing my kid into farming or ranching…not that it works but meh.) So…we’ll have to see if Tartan will make hybrids in ch1 + be much easier to trigger in general; I’ve quite literally only gotten him Once after following a guide. OR, if Dear Old Taks won’t yoink our inheritance away Because Allo&Amato Normatively if we don’t marry in a year; personally I’d rather have the game progress after reaching certain checkpoints THEN finishing out the year verses…Marry In 4 Seasons OR ELSE -I’ve got a grudge against this guy. At least female and enby player characters can marry the women now instead… there’s a reason why they had to drag in the Mineral Town guys for DS Cute-

In the original Marlin also accepted Milk, that really helped! I bet it will be the same in the remake. So excited!

I’m kind of sad they changed Matthew as much as they did. I wish they kept a little of the greaser vibes he used to have. I’m also not a huge fan of how… clean it is. As in removing the alcohol and such.

I’m not a huge fan of Cody redesign either in the original he came across as a scary guy but he was actually very gentle natured and quiet. Not he looks more confident and likes to work out they totally changed his character and I don’t like it 😡

My favorite candidates so far would have to be Gordy and Lumina. I imagine there would be some changes to characters’ likes and dislikes, but I don’t think it is going to be a complete overhaul. Still can’t wait to see how the heart events differ and how the kids are going to be different.

i am replaying the special edition right now and i can confirm that marlin likes eggs. he is one of the hardest characters to befriend (he requires a lot of gifts) so make it easy on yourself and don’t waste your S ranked crops!

@@copyer9088 I am playing it on my ps4 pro, so the lagging and framerate issues that i've heard of in the first SE release are not a problem in this one for the most part. in fact, riding my horse feels sped up. I do own the OG gamecube version but i wanted to play this one because i am trying to get all the trophies :)

I just hope Rock’s less of a gaslighting narcissistic jerk, and -Marlin- Matthew finally has interests beyond getting drunk and his kinda creepy (give it a rest dude!!) obsession with -Celia- Cecilia …yeah I always ended up marrying Gustafa in the girl version and Nami in the boy version. (Celia is incredibly sweet. But the second she gets married and has a kid…she never talks about her interests anymore. She only ever chatters about housework. Poor girl.)

I'm literally gonna make a save file for ALL of them cause I've always loved them all.. they did such an amazing job on Nami though 😍 But I'm gonna say I think I will marry Rock first cause I feel like his character won't be as snooty 😂

Gosh I hope so. I audibly “UUUUUGH!!” every time I triggered one of his events. Dissing him was almost cathartic but I’ll never forgive him for trying to gaslight my character about her passions and trying to steal&sell off her property and dog!!

What was your source on the things they liked in the original game? I loved Harvest Moon AWL as a kid but i found a lot of the game impenetrable, and i've never been able to find concrete answers about a number of the game's mechanics. I definitely remember seeing posts about like, 'this person likes flowers' but knowing the specific dishes they like is something i'd never come across. One of the things i'm hoping this new release does is lead to interested ppl datamining things here that may give us new insight about the original game. The fact that it hides things like villager friendship levels from you is immersive but also can be really frustrating! haha

I take it you're going to get the Japanese version right? Or is it already out in Japan? There's something I've been meaning to ask you, but I kept forgetting. In the original game, the chars 'aged' in it too right? If so, do you know how long it is before there's a 'time jump'. Like I've never played a game when there's been a time jump and I definitely don't want to miss out on my chance to romance any of the guys I might pick (leaning towards Gordy and Matthew based on what I've seen so far). I just like to take my time romancing people. Like in Stardew Valley, I didn't even try to start romancing anyone until near the end of Year 1. Oh sure I still gave them gifts on their Bdays, but for most villagers in general, I didn't get their "fav stuff" until really late in the year when I finally had a kitchen and other things. So yeah, I am going to want to know how many "years" can pass before there's a jump in time. I am assuming the first jump will happen when you have your kid. Thanks for these videos Eli.

That was a lot of questions, haha. The game comes out on the 26th, so a week from today! I'll be playing it when it releases (well, as long as nothing goes wrong, haha). In this game, you MUST get married by the end of year one! In the original game, there were time jumps after each chapter (one year per chapter in the special edition, the original Gamecube game had some chapters last 2 years). This game puts a focus on your family life and whatnot so it moves at a steady pace time wise, BUT at the end you can play at your leisure forever.

@@elithegaymer Thank you. Is 1 year basically 4 months (4 seasons) like in other games like this? I just hope it's easy to befriend people so I can romance the char I want to get married to. I do want to enjoy this game, but I'll admit, my biggest Gaming Pet Peeve is "Time Limits" and if this is supposed to be a 'cozy game', the last thing I want to feel is stressed out having to worry about time.

@@Zodia195 Yeah, one year is four seasons/months… And in this game a season is only ten days! But one day is a bit longer than some other games and is kind of split into two (you can milk your cows twice a day, crops grow twice a day, etc.). When I play the final game I’ll see if there’s another mode that lets you play time limit free but it might be locked behind beating the game once.

I think the size of Celia and Matthew looks a bit strange when they are in their home. Like, when they are all three crowded in the corner? On the plus side it appears to be running very smoothly, which is a really good thing.

I’m going to be honest with you when I see all of the marriage candidates in the new remake of a wonderful life & none of the marriage candidates don’t have the same personality & vibes just like Damon from Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town & I believe that the marriage candidates don’t really helped u out on the farm so the marriage candidates in this remake version are very disappointed me a lot now & I wish marvelous can upgrade the marriage candidates personality completely & act like helpful marriage candidates instead of being lazy butt like rock & if the marriage candidate don’t help the player out on the farm oh boy the player will passed away in the end of the game & i will blame the marriage candidates for that no matter what
