I would like to thanks your parents for bringing you into this world. I keep getting destroyed with leg attacks and your breakdown has given me a small glimpse of hope. Keep up the good work bro! Oss.

First saw this position from Shawn Williams back in 2009/10. Didn’t know my dumb blue belt self was getting a glimpse into the future of grappling.

Great explanation and examples of the position. What is your current favorite entanglement position? I’ve gone through so many “favorites” as my game has progressed but I’m really in love with backside 50/50 right now for many reasons but it’s application for mma would be top of the list. The double trouble position was my previous favorite but people are getting smarter and not giving that away like they used to.
@LIMIBJJ

That is a really good question. Did you see Diego pato using that z lock in ADCC? I like that configuration a lot right now. Very immobilizing for your opponent

@@LIMIBJJ I did!! That’s such a nasty position and submission but it’s not one I’ve worked on. I’ve seen Junny use it before and watched his Fanatics vids on it. I’ll drill it a bit and see what I think. I don’t imagine I’ll make any new friends at class with that one though! 😂

@@kogrady2409 hahaha for sure it’s a brutal position to be in. Definitely a catch and release type deal but I think it’s super effective

NEVER triangle your legs during leg lock battles? Just avoid it 100%?

Cross ashi is when you're legs aren't under the opposing leg but over the leg. Inside sankaku is when you're under the opposing leg.

@@LIMIBJJ certainly... now what I really want to know is what the distinction ( if any) is between " arumi" and " irimi" I've heard both and I think arumi is just a pronunciation error and that they mean the same thing 🤷‍♂️
